A rare magical miracle in the world

Chapter 219: King's Awakening (Requesting Votes)

"Cough cough cough."

The pain on her cheek was scorching hot as Tulip struggled to her feet, sword in hand, from the ground. She watched Xia Yan in the distance being brutalized by Lyon.

'If this continues, Xia Yan will die.'

Masters possess strong vitality, even if they can't win a fight, they could still escape; the King would not be able to stop them.

But Lyon was the Miracle Entity. In a one-on-one situation, it was only a matter of time before he could lock down and suppress a Master.

Because Xia Yan hardly had time to recover, even her vast Miracle Power could only exert limited strength.

Master against Master, fighting for half a day without a victor was extremely common.

However, now, in at most one minute, Xia Yan would undoubtedly die at the hands of Lyon.

Don't think that taking one minute to kill a Master is slow. How many Masters could there be in the Miracle Kingdom? If each only took one minute, wouldn't the kingdom fall within an hour?

'Why come to invade us?'

Tulip could not understand what this nation named Yatun had in mind.

"Is it because of sins, teacher?"

Like General Winter, Tulip also harbored a strong sense of guilt and simultaneously felt remorse for the Ancient City People. It was because of their inaction that the tragedy of the Ancient City had ensued for forty years.

'For the sake of what's in the heart, do not hesitate to take this path.'

'What you persist in is justice,' Tulip said, 'then what about me, what am I persisting in?'

The woman's body trembled, she was afraid, afraid of the impending death.

Tulip had already understood the truth, but she was too afraid to admit it, let alone face it.

'I am going to die.'

Tulip looked at her hands; she had not healed the wounds on her face, even forgetting the pain: 'But Xia Yan is a companion, my best friend.'

"Xia Yan!!!"

Mei Xiang's cry woke Tulip up, and she saw the woman scramble up from the ground and then rush towards Lyon without hesitation.

'What am I thinking!'

Tulip bit her lip: 'When did I start to cherish my own life?'

'Has a long life made me afraid of death?'

Tulip hated this feeling, absolutely hated it. She looked towards Xia Yan.

Whether she was afraid of death or not was another matter.

"Xia Yan..."

Tulip only knew that if she hesitated any longer, she would surely live with regret for the rest of her life.

"Snap."

Tulip crossed her fingers, holding her fists in front of her, as she silently prayed in her heart, "Dawn is not the end of night, just as all things revive at the edge of winter."

"When we kneel to fear, little do we know that the fear in our eyes is submitting to despair."

"..."

Quiet, as silent as death, even time and space seemed to freeze.

"I bargain with my vision, please let me see your form."

"I offer my hearing, only wishing to hear your voice, to plea to you."

"I liberate my flesh and blood, to touch everything about you with a body just like yours."

"Right here."

Tulip raised her head, she opened her eyes: "To walk with you."

Her gaze pierced the heavens and crossed time and space.

It roamed through infinite dimensions, overlooking countless Endless Planes.

Plants grew, flowers bloomed, fruits ripened, leaves withered.

Flora and fauna propagated and thrived, yet perished in volcanoes and tsunamis, and millions of years later, minerals such as oil and amber would return to the earth.

In the primitive planes, life and nature coexisted in harmony.

The dawn of civilization, the beginning of agriculture, and use of fire.

Ancient societies, the overlap of father and mother, slavery and enslavement, continuous warfare.

Finally, with the first gunshot, she heard the rallying cry of revolution, and within the feared tumult, she saw a new chapter turn after the era.

[Ascension: Goddess of the Seasons]

"The four seasons rotate; everything is just a part of the cycle."

Tulip's appearance changed, her military uniform faded away, replaced by a gown befitting a queen.

Of course, it was the same tradition; apart from above the neck, not a hint of skin was revealed.

"Tulip?"

Mei Xiang noticed the commotion here; she felt tranquil, as if heaven and earth had quieted down.

There was no fluctuation of energy, nor any world-shaking, phenomenon-level change. Tulip was very calm, more so than ever before.

Tulip's eyes gazed into the sky, but her focus was not on any corner of this material world. What she saw was something more profound, the wisdom of the world.

"You've entered that state?"

Mei Xiang exclaimed: "Don't do anything foolish, you'll die!"

However, Tulip did not reply to Mei Xiang. Discover more stories at empire

"Whew!"

The golden hair disappeared in the air in an instant, her formerly impatient demeanor gone; now Tulip looked serene.

Tulip was no longer the impetuous mortal; now she was walking with the Law of the Seasons.

Endless knowledge continuously poured into Tulip's brain. She didn't know what to do, but her body reacted faster than her consciousness.

"Boom!!"

The foot aimed at Xia Yan found only air, the ground shattered, and the entire Blood Moon Dreamland fractured under this single stomp.

"You do have quite a variety of tricks."

Lyon leaped into the air, fist clenched in his left hand, without using any maneuvers, he struck at Tulip just as he had before.

"Pop."

This time, however, Tulip was not knocked back. She crossed her hands in front of her and miraculously withstood Lyon's casual blow unscathed.

"Wow, wow."

Lyon spoke teasingly: "What's this situation, starting to fight for your life?"

Seeing his attack blocked didn't surprise Lyon.

Because the state of the opposition was too familiar to him, that was a being very similar to himself—a Law Incarnation.

"Tulip!"

Xia Yan was astonished to see the current Tulip; it was the first time Xia Yan had seen her like this.
