Acheron in Tensura

Chapter 21: 20. Lizard

Training the garden of Night Rose Castle, two women could be seen meditating. One had purple hair and sat in a deep state of meditation, while opposite her, a silver-haired woman occasionally opened one eye to glance at her companion. Acheron and Luminous were in the midst of their training.

Acheron slowly opened her eyes, her stoic demeanor fixed on Luminous. 'Lately, Luminous has been watching me more than usual and seems a little fidgety.' Acheron spoke up, "That's enough meditation for today." Both stood up from the ground. Acheron approached Luminous quickly, stopping just a meter away. "Luminous, what's happening? You keep staring at me with some unknown intentions. Is something wrong?" Despite her stoic demeanor, Acheron's words carried an innocent concern that Luminous could detect.

Luminous froze. She couldn't just admit to Acheron that she had been having naughty thoughts about her—it was beneath her perfection. "It's nothing, just wondering how you... ehmmm..." Luminous struggled to find the right words. Acheron waited attentively for her answer. "Ehmmm... yes, I was wondering how you have so much experience with the sword."

Acheron nodded. "I was born and given a sword right away. Besides, the thing we were doing right now can go even deeper. You could enter your mindscape and fight there."

Luminous sighed in relief at Acheron's innocent interpretation. "And could you teach me that mindscape technique?" she asked.

Acheron looked thoughtful. "I could, but there's one problem. Time flows differently there. You could get lost easily."

As Acheron explained, Luminous moved behind her and hugged her. "Well, I was thinking... Do you know how babies are made?"

Acheron, comfortable in the hug, nodded. "It's when a male and female have sexual intercourse, and the counterpart gets pregnant."

Luminous deadpanned. "You read that from the library, didn't you?" Acheron nodded. Luminous released the hug. 'I can tell that Acheron has grown on me. When I hug her, she returns it.' Luminous coughed. "Well, back to the meditation thing. Can you show me?"

Acheron just looked at Luminous. "Are you sure? I don't know how long I can be there, and you won't be able to wake me up."

Luminous smirked, adopting her princess-like demeanor and covering her mouth with one hand. "Who do you take me for? I am Luminous Valentine. When I say something, I mean it."

Acheron, still stoic, nodded. "Fine, let's go to my room."

Luminous's thoughts turned mischievous. 'I and Acheron in her room alone... Wait, no. Don't give in to temptation.' She snapped out of it and led Acheron back to her room.

Once there, Acheron sat on her bed and began to concentrate, channeling her magicules to her brain. Luminous watched, understanding the fundamental process but choosing not to try it herself yet. Hours passed, and Acheron remained unmoved. Luminous grew impatient. "You've got to be kidding me. Is she going to meditate all day?" She shook Acheron's body, but there was no response. In Acheron's mindscape, she was battling a dragon that resembled Veldenava.

...

On the outside, Luminous watched over Acheron. It had been years since she began meditating, and after the first week, Luminous realized her mistake. Acheron had warned her, and she had ignored the warning. "Well, I brought this upon myself," she muttered, gently caressing Acheron's hair. "I just want you to wake up soon."

Luminous visited Acheron's room every day, but nothing changed. She lay on her sofa, drinking wine, her thoughts drifting to Acheron. She missed her dearly and could do nothing but wait.

Then something happened.

*Boom*

An explosion rocked the entire Night Rose Castle. "What is going on?" Luminous ran to the balcony and saw a dragon she recognized. It was the true dragon, Veldora. "This stupid lizard dares to rampage in my city!" She began to cast a spell. "Disintegration!" The dragon turned towards her, firing an attack that caused the castle to shake. The balcony crumbled beneath her feet.

She was in a rage as she fell, but someone caught her hand in mid-air. It was Acheron, newly awakened. "Acheron, you're awake!" Without thinking, Luminous kissed her deeply, startling Acheron. They landed, with Acheron holding Luminous in a princess carry.

"You can put me down now," Luminous said, but Acheron shook her head. "I don't want to."

Luminous, shocked, asked, "Say that again?"

"I don't want to put you down," Acheron repeated, her stoic face showing a rare glimpse of emotion. Their moment was interrupted by Veldora's roar.

"Acheron, I can't kill this dragon alone. Can you help me?" Luminous asked.

Before Acheron could respond, a woman approached them. "Wait, you can't!" It was Chronoa, a time traveler.

Luminous glared at her. "It's you again."

Acheron felt an unfamiliar pang of jealousy seeing Luminous's attention diverted. She hugged Luminous tightly from behind, her breasts pressing against Luminous's head. Wh-w-what are you doing?" Luminous asked, confused.

Chronoa sighed. "Don't worry, Master. I'm not here to steal Luminous."

Luminous, despite her initial shock, found herself enjoying Acheron's possessiveness. Chronoa bowed. "Hello, Master. My name is Chronoa, a time traveler. Veldora must be sealed."

Chronoa engaged Veldora while Luminous savored the unexpected affection from Acheron. Once Chronoa had Veldora under control, Acheron asked, "How do you know her?"

Luminous explained their deal about sealing Chronoa in the "Holy Ark." Acheron nodded but remained distrustful. As they watched Chronoa and Veldora, Luminous felt a newfound warmth. Acheron's embrace, though possessive, filled her with a sense of belonging she hadn't felt in a long time.
