Chapter 127: Kill and Leave_2
The commanding-tier beast has fallen!
After a moment of explosive action, Lin Su quickly turned his head, "Don't just stand there! Support the Earth-type beasts!"
In that instant, the greatest pressure was not on anyone else, but on the Earth-type beast defensive line that had lost its offensive assistance and was now solely responsible for holding back the onslaught of countless beasts.
The Earth-type beast whose defense had been torn open by the commanding-tier beast was quickly replaced by other Earth-type beasts, retreating to the inside of the formation to receive treatment from healing-type beasts, while other beasts immediately returned to their positions to help the Earth-type beasts who were under immense pressure to repel the beasts.
As the shattered remains of the commanding-tier beast were frozen and discarded amidst the nearby beast tide, the huge explosion triggered by Qiuqiu caused countless casualties. The formation, which had been slightly chaotic due to the commanding-tier beast's charge, quickly returned to normal and was orderly once again.
It was not until this moment that Xing Yun finally let out a slight sigh of relief, his eyes filled with worry as he looked toward his comrades still fighting on the other side.

He could not move forward to help.
For a normal reserve camp combat team, at least two instructors must remain behind.
And because Lin Su was part of this team, the number of instructors that had to stay behind increased to three, and he had to be one of them.
Therefore, even if his teammates died in battle, he could only watch.
Outside the battlefield, Li Hong let out an inhuman howl, enduring the assault of Monarch Power fearlessly, his valiant heart overcoming fear. With a heavy swipe of his claw, he ripped the third commanding-tier Monarch-species beast he had blocked into shreds. After a glance at his other teammates, he did not hesitate to burst forth, rushing to support the side that was at a disadvantage.
Subsequently, the initially tense battles across the field triggered a chain reaction and quickly showed a one-sided trend, culminating in the fall of all commanding-tier beasts.
When the instructors one by one returned to the vicinity of the team, suddenly a team member cried out, "Instructor Tang!"
The team member's voice made everyone who was focused on the fight instantly look toward the instructor, and upon seeing him, their eyes reddened.
Among Team 19, an instructor named Tang Long returned with the help of another instructor, his arm severed from the shoulder, the wound looking as though it had been mauled by a wild beast. With special injections halting the bleeding, the torn flesh and exposed bone at the wound were incredibly jarring to behold.
"What are you howling for!" Tang Long's face twitched with pain, and upon hearing his team members' outcries, he rolled his eyes impatiently and shouted, "It's not killing you! Dare to be distracted on the battlefield?!"
Immediately after, under his breath where the team members couldn't hear, he muttered, "Lucky to be alive at all, just look at the other teams..."
"Enough!" Li Hong barked, cutting off Tang Long's remark, and glanced at a female instructor nearby, "The beasts across are in pain, we are momentarily safe, Zhao Yue, go and return quickly!"
"Okay." Zhao Yue's eyes slightly reddened, quickly hoisted Tang Long onto her shoulder, her powers and beast acting in unison. With a spread of her wings, she transformed into a gust of wind, racing toward the rear camp for rest and recuperation.
With Tang Long's departure, the instructors once again fell silent, and apart from being two members short, it was as if nothing had happened.
The killing of enemies by Team 19 continued, only everyone was somewhat silent.
An instructor was injured.
The instructor named Tang Long had lost an arm.
If it were just a severed arm, the commanding-tier healing beasts could easily reattach it, but Tang Long's lost limb was now irretrievable. For limb regeneration, even if a Sovereign-tier was involved, it would not be an easy feat, so unless there were unforeseen circumstances, Tang Long would need a mechanical prosthetic.
Even harder for them to accept was that this injury to the instructor had not occurred during combat but had happened while he was protecting them. He lost his arm fighting alone against three commanding-tier Monarch-species beasts.
Therefore, his injury could be said to have been sustained while protecting them.
Within the team, Lin Su pursed his lips, staying silent apart from issuing commands.
The instructor Tang Long was not responsible for his own squad, having taught them just one day's course.
But Lin Su remembered that while the instructor always had a stern face, his words were particularly amusing, often making them laugh.
All of the instructor's pets were of the Dark type, so he taught how Dark-type pets could better unleash Dark power and how other attribute pets should counter against Dark types.
In that lesson, Qiuqiu and the Ghost were very attentive listeners.
And now, such an interesting instructor had lost an arm.
Though current technology could make a mechanical arm indistinguishable from a real one, it would be useless in the frontier war zones where technology failed.
Even Xing Yun's prosthetic eye became useless after entering the war zone, forcing him to rely on vision in one eye. Mechanical arms would not fare any better.
Unless he never returned to the frontier again, the loss of strength for Tang Long was permanent.
The silence of Lin Su ultimately translated into an even more fierce onslaught from Qiuqiu and the Ghost.
…
The beast of Sovereign tier, unwilling to let go after failing to strike but losing many subordinates, although reluctant to continue using commanding-tier Monarch-species beasts, still occasionally arranged for a few elite-tier beasts to attempt breakthroughs on the battlefield. It wasn't until they saw successive flashes of Advancement Light being swiftly extinguished by the instructors that they finally gave up, realizing that there was no hope; the resource that allowed elite-tier beasts to rapidly advance to commanding tier was too precious, and the Sovereign-tier beast hesitated to waste more.
