This was the group picked to investigate Shiznautmy…… supposedly.
So, like, yeah, we’re all supposed to team up to investigate the ruins of Shiznautmy. Humans and demons working together? The truth of the world or whatever? Blah blah blah, like I care.
The real reason I was all, “Pick me! Pick me!” for this mission? It’s because I’ve had this dream, like, forever—over ten years, okay? I’ve been waiting and holding back so much.

The Imperial Academy’s lame little kids’ show— the Imperial Graduation Match or whatever for their hairy or not-so-hairy twerps, it’s like, the final countdown to me finally getting what I’ve been dreaming about forever.

The one that, like, straight-up stomped all over the forbidden ground of my maidenhood, stirred it up like crazy, and just pierced me right through. There it was. So, like, La’iphant and I were totally watching that match through the magic crystal, right? And OMG, he was freaking out. Like, full-on shook to his core.
But me? Oh, you know, I was playing it cool on the outside, like, “whatever”. But inside? Like, trembling with pleasure.
And, ugh, I can’t even lie—my butt was tingling… not my chest, nope. My butt. Yeah, I said it. Deal with it.
Back when I tried to crash Hiro and Mamu’s wedding, and Espie and Slayer got all up in my business, like, everything they said back then? Turns out it was totally true.
But, like, how is Earth Lagann using the Great Demon King’s move? Even those two don’t know. It’s, like, the biggest mystery ever.
But, like, all that? To me, it’s just small stuff compared to the big picture. And honestly. When I talked to Espie and her bo right after, they totally felt the same way.
Those two were so hyped they were crying! Like, full-on tears of excitement.
After that, every single day felt like forever.
I was so ready to go grab Earth Lagann when he ran away from home, breaking free of the Empire’s watch and the annoying Hiro and Mamu. But I held back.
I waited, and I waited. And, geez, just like how holding it in until you really have to pee makes it feel sooo good when you finally go, I figured if I waited this long, no matter how crazy it drove me, I’d hold out just a little longer.

――What!? You’re saying you’re going to the joint ruins investigation between the Empire and Japone? What kind of wind is blowing this change, Zou?
――OMG, chill, I just felt bad about leaving all the boring politics to you, okay? So, like, I figured I’d actually do something for once, jaa~.

The whole ruins investigation thing? Pfft, I’m just biding my time, waiting for the perfect moment to get outta here and snatch him up.

So, like, the Shiznautmy ruins are totally a wreck, right? We were all ready to start this super important joint investigation with the new Demon Realm government, the Empire, and the Japone Kingdom, but then we got this urgent news. And who’s leading the whole investigation team for the Empire? Ugh, it’s like, our old enemy from the Demon King Army days! One of the Seven Heroes……
“Koujiro…… and even Lord Mikado…… King Umashika of the Kingdom of Japone has done something outrageous……”
Not my type AT ALL, but he’s like, this totally cute, baby-faced gentleman. He’s always got that wizard’s robe on and walking around all chill and smirking like he knows everything, making him, like, soo hard to grasp.
Benlinerve Meday, famous as the strongest Archmage of the Seven Heroes, like, everyone knows him. But here’s the thing—he’s looking all flustered and stuff for once, which is, like, soooo unusual.
“Lord Benlinerve! We have just received new information. Lord Mikado, who had been on a diplomatic tour of the countries, has suddenly returned to Japone. Upon filing an objection to the recent decision… it seems that, under the King’s orders, Lord Mikado has been detained!!”
“Huh!? Goodness gracious…… that’s… quite something…….”
“However, this has sparked intense opposition from Lord Mikado’s followers and the citizens who admire him, and currently, large-scale protests and uprisings are taking place in the Japone royal capital.”
“I see…… no, this is certainly no longer about a joint investigation…… and what about Koujiro?”

Uh, like, it looks like something went down with that old Mikado guy and the whole Japone Kingdom or whatever.
I mean, I’ve totally heard that the king there is like, a total idiot or some kind of tyrant…… but, whatever, like, there are always gonna be fools around, right? Anyway, I just wanna like get outta here as fast as I can, so like, I don’t really wanna deal with all this drama…… but, um, wait, isn’t this mess like, the perfect chance to just get outta here?
“Norja, I’m sorry you’ve come all this way. I never expected things to turn out like this…….”
“Hmm? Ah, no biggie…….”
“I can’t really get involved in the politics of other countries, but… what the hell is going on with that country… I’ve heard that the relationship between those two and King Umashika isn’t exactly good, but… even so, this…… if those two are lost, what will happen to that country… no, not just that, the balance of the world…….”
The real problem is whether or not Earth Lagann has already used that time-travel thingy and, like, gone back to the past and then came back.

As for me, like, seriously, I’d be waayy happier if this guy just did something totally reckless like Hiro and Mamu, and, like, zoomed off somewhere to rescue those two without thinking about it――――

“And the Japone Kingdom…… ain’t this mess the same as with the Bethreal Kingdom? They’ve got no choice but to rely on that little girlie of the Seven Heroes, their only pawn, who’s cut off ties with em. Well, as for Japone, we had a bit of a hand in it ourselves, but still….”
Like, seriously?! I mean, I’ve been holding onto this wish for, like, ever, and I didn’t even care about Kojirou, Mikado, or Japone. But, OMG, at that moment, I could not even with the chills and shock that hit me all at once.
“Huh!? N-no… what? No way… like, why…….”
“Huh!?? Ri, ridiculous…… y, you…… surely not… Surely Not!?”
Like, it wasn’t just me, right?
The demons, the humans, literally everyone there. And, like, even Benlinerve was totally freaking out too.
“Still, the way I see it, can’t say the Empire got much room to talk ’bout other countries bein’ daft. The origins of that technique are unknown, but look at ’em! A nasty bunch, narrow-minded enough to insult the most outstanding young lad…… And now the so-called ‘heroes’ are blindly runnin’ ’round after their own kid’s gone and run off.”
This “monster” showed up from outta nowhere, and in fact, still not sure when he had actually appeared.
But, next thing we knew, there he was right next to us.
“But, well…… I’ve been waitin’ for this day…… when La’iphant or Norja, who raised the white flag in the last Great War and turned the Demon Realm into a servile playground for the humans…… finally nicks off from the Demon Realm.”
“Wh… why are you… here…”
All over, I felt the hairs on my body stand on end. I’m shaking. The pressure was so overwhelming that even I felt like it was going to crush me.
One by one, my subordinates trembled with fear, until they fell on their butts.
It’s hard to breathe. The air is trembling.
But that’s a given.
And the reason why this was happening……
“Right, we’ll start with you two first, Norja…… and Benlinerve. I’ll bring you both to your knees before me. Just so you know, there ain’t no help comin’ from Japone, okay?”
