Danmachi: Gacha Draw

Chapter 93: Chapter 93 - Adventure Expedition

"Wake up!" Ais raised her sword, glaring at Udaeus with piercing eyes.

"ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

The owner of the skeletal floor let out a low roar, his blood-red eyes glowing like two headlights, radiating a bloody and ferocious light.

His bones creaked as he entered a fighting stance. Ais stamped her foot on the ground, charging straight ahead toward the massive figure towering over her.

Udaeus sensed an intruder in his attack range and unleashed a roar that shook the air, slamming his thick left arm toward the small creature that dared to taunt him.

Ais leaped into the air just as the black bone giant created a massive stone pit beneath him.

Fearless and resolute, she dove straight into Udaios' arms, aiming for the enormous magic stone embedded in his sternum.

With her sharp sword poised at her left shoulder, she gathered her strength and thrust it forward with swift intensity.

Udaeus' ribs shifted to block Ais' strike, successfully deflecting her sharp sword.

The violent collision left no mark on his dark ribs.

"Pity," Ais muttered expressionlessly to herself.

As she fell back to the ground, she casually severed an inverted stake shot by the Labyrinth King and fixed her determined gaze on her enemy.

'I must take you down! If I can't defeat you now, when will I ever catch up? ' Ais thought fervently.

The reason the Labyrinth King always appeared without a lower body was that he lacked one entirely.

He resembled a colossal tree with roots tangled in the ground, spreading numerous body parts beneath the floor of the entire room, allowing him to launch countless sharp stakes from anywhere within the vast cave at any moment.

The entire 'Throne Room' was his domain.

Even a group of adventurers could not hope to attack the floor master effectively with their scattered and enticing assaults.

Now, facing such an overwhelming challenge alone, Ais felt even greater pressure.

The inverted stakes shot up from the ground, quickly submerging her base in an instant. Ais pressed forward, slicing through each one as she passed while keeping a watchful eye on Udaios' massive form.

His entirely black body glimmered with violet-blue light at his joints

Shoulders and elbows—akin to that of a magic stone.

Without skin or muscle tissue, Udaeus relied solely on those joints for movement; if they were broken, he would be significantly weakened.

Ais made a decisive choice in her heart:

"Wake up!"

She unleashed the wind element without reservation for maximum effect.

Wrapped tightly in wind armor, Ais transformed into a small gust of wind, deftly avoiding the constantly protruding inverted stakes as she traced a right-angled trajectory from Udaios' left side to his rear.

She crushed the ground beneath her feet as she leaped upward and forcefully struck at his spine!

"Whoa, whoa, whoa!!!?"

Udaeus howled in pain as his spine sustained severe damage and he staggered sideways.

Seizing this opportunity, Ais pursued him relentlessly while Udaeus frantically hurled stakes toward her.

Inverted stakes emerged from his body as well, intricately intertwined at various joints to shield him.

Ais' eyes flashed with determination just as Udaeus let out another ear-splitting roar!

"ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

A massive inverted dark stake materialized before him; he reached out and pulled it free

It turned out to be a sword more than six meters long!

"You're kidding me! How can there be a sword?!"

Riveria exclaimed in shock as she prepared to intervene.

"Riveria, there's no need for that," Link said firmly while observing the scene unfold.

On the battlefield, Ais charged toward Udaeus once more.

The central joints of the black bone giant's shoulders, elbows, and wrists erupted with brilliant light as he swung the enormous black sword horizontally at blinding speed.

The great sword carved through the air with violent force.

Ais quickly jumped to evade it; however, Udaeus' fierce red eyes flared brightly as he raised his giant sword overhead

Each joint shining like fiery meteors ready to unleash destruction.

Scream!!

She barely had time to block before being overwhelmed by immense force that gouged deep trenches into the ground beneath her; Ais crashed hard onto the surface.

"Ouch!!!"

"Ais!" Sharp inverted stakes stabbed into the ground around her legs and back.

Even Link felt concern for her safety.

Blood trickled down Ais' forehead into her eyes; yet still burning bright with determination in her golden gaze, she refused to give up on defeating the floor master before her.

"The wind is strong!!!" she shouted with all her might as memories of Link's heat wave surged through her mind.

This was only a minor setback

She couldn't afford to fall now! Gripping her sword tightly felt like holding onto unwavering belief itself

She dashed forward despite gruesome wounds screaming for attention.

'I must defeat you!!!'

Udaeus' red pupils locked helplessly onto Ais' chest as she tightened her grip on her sword and plunged it forcefully into his magic stone!

The sound of shattering glass echoed through the chamber as an enormous magic stone fractured under impact.

In an instant, Udaeus' entire form collapsed

The pitch-black bones disintegrating into dust that scattered across the ground like ocean waves receding from shore.

Exhausted but triumphant, Ais knelt weakly amidst pale golden ash while looking up at Link through clotted blood smeared across her face

A smile breaking through despite everything.

"I did it!"

Link rushed forward eagerly. "You did it."

"Well… I succeeded…"

"Don't move."

Celestine hurried over too; chanting healing magic while green light emanated from her hand enveloping Ais in warmth.

"Thank you so much, Miss Celestine…"

"No… you're welcome!"

Riveria scolded mercilessly beside them: "You're really joking!"

"Wha… what! You actually succeeded!"

Bete stammered incredulously.

"Ouch!!"

"Ais!!"

Tiona shouted along with Tione and Lefiya who cheered excitedly while rushing over alongside Alicia.

"The great achievement has been accomplished"

Finn declared proudly while gripping his spear with satisfaction etched across his features.

"It seems we'll finally have another Level 6."

Link carefully lifted exhausted Ais onto his back taking over responsibility for guarding their flanks now that victory was theirs.

"Thank you," she whispered softly against him.

"Ais"

Link replied gently bowing slightly before adding: "Today was incredible."

"Um…"

Her hot cheeks buried behind Link's head felt comforting; inhaling deeply revealed how nice he smelled causing warmth to flush across hers further until sleep overtook them both peacefully together amidst chaos surrounding them all around…

The 49th floor of Deep Dungeon lay barren

An expanse devoid of grass where rocks and gravel were stained reddish-brown underfoot

As Satyrs surged forth like locusts swarming en masse towards them! Towering humanoid figures bore ferocious horse-like faces adorned by twisted goat horns while countless hooves stomped heavily upon earth creating faint tremors accompanied by thunderous roars echoing throughout!

"Raise your shields!"

Finn commanded urgently amidst chaos unfolding around them!

Countless collisions rang loudly reverberating through air filled tension

Weaker members found themselves swept away sent flying along shields unable withstand force unleashed upon them!

Suddenly... a figure leapt forth from ranks enveloped within wind-attribute magic power wielding sword launching devastating attacks clearing path through monstrous horde effortlessly!

Crescent-shaped slashes flew outward one after another creating openings around Loki Familia center allowing everyone respite momentarily amidst carnage unfolding before their very eyes!

Ais emerged clad in windproof armor charging headlong towards throng cutting down bodies heads alike leaving behind beautiful yet brutal trail destruction wherever went!

"I'm going too!" Not wanting be outdone Asagi sprang forth stirring mountain corpses sea blood surrounding them all; bloody blade cleaved anything came close reducing foes mere pieces scattered everywhere!

Bert alongside Tiona & Tione sisters couldn't help but join fray unleashing fury upon enemies without restraint now allowed freely fight wishes unbound!

Finn observed intently watching Link stand firm ready face whatever challenges lay ahead next…

"It's so strong. Even at deep levels, it's still very reliable."

Link paid close attention to the battlefield.

Because there were too many monsters, even if the backbone of the clan took the initiative to launch an attack, many fish still slipped through the net.

Once discovered, Link would immediately beat them up.

Raul, who was carrying the shield, was dragged by the satyr's club and staggered a few steps.

Just as the next satyr was about to attack him, a sword slash flew over and cut the monster down.

Raul couldn't help but look up with some gratitude.

Glancing at Link in front of him, who was in control of the situation, he sighed, "Am I too useless?"

They were both LV.4, yet one was in the sky while the other was on the ground.

One was progressing rapidly, while the other remained stagnant and failed to achieve anything.

Although the title was called 'High Novice', it was nothing extraordinary.

'I really wish I could get stronger that quickly! '

Behind Raul, Anakitty and Alicia worked together to kill a satyr and looked over.

"Raul! Why are you in a daze on the battlefield?"

"Excuse me."

Raul smiled awkwardly and continued to engage in the battle.

He fought harder and harder, gradually becoming addicted to it.

Fighting in a battlefield fraught with crises, Raul felt like he was returning to his rookie days.

"Raul, he is..."

"You should be motivated as well."

Alicia's beautiful eyes rested on Link, filling her heart with fighting spirit.

After the monster reinforcements were interrupted, they became completely passive.

Flying sword attacks would still claim the lives of one or several monsters from time to time.

Soon, the attacking monsters were wiped out by everyone.

Sure enough, as Link mentioned at the beginning, a large number of magic stones and drops were obtained in each battle along the way.

Raul roughly calculated that it was at least three times more than during the previous expedition.

It seems that Link also has a BUFF that increases the drop rate.

Several people knew this well, yet they did not reveal it. After calculating the income, Link stored it all in the storage space.

The group continued down the stairs.

50th floor of the dungeon.

This is one of the few safe floors in the dungeon that does not spawn monsters.

There are very few emergencies or dangers of attacks. It is located directly below the Balor floor.

The Loki Familia had good luck this time.

Although they encountered the Monster Banquet on the 49th floor, fortunately, they did not face the floor master Balor.

In the vast open space of the plateau, the Loki Familia expedition team set up camp here.

From a distance, the trees seemed to be covered in a layer of dust, with gray wood layers submerging the entire surrounding area until the end of the farthest floor.

Rivers flowed between the trees, and the blue waterways continued endlessly.

The sound of metal friction overlapped with the sounds of chatter.

Family members came and went, busy with their own tasks.

"Link!"

She had healthy wheat-colored skin and a unique Amazonian appearance.

A thin piece of cloth covered her chest on the upper part of her body, while a long skirt wrapped around her waist, exposing her graceful limbs without hesitation.

As soon as her eyes met Link's, Tiona smiled as brightly as a sunflower.

"You were so amazing just now!"

"Yes?"

"Yes," Lefiya nodded as well.

She had only cast a few magic spells moments ago, which didn't have much effect.

She looked at Ais in admiration.

"Miss Ais is also very powerful!"

"Hmph! I think Lord Link is the most powerful," Asagi and Olga said angrily.

Celestine weakly brought the food and distributed it among those present, trying to prevent their argument.

Ais took the food and thanked her softly, then her gaze returned to Link.

"Link is amazing… I think so too."

"It seems I'm better, hahaha."

Link smiled and couldn't help but touch the heads of several girls.

"Depends on…"

Bete looked over here speechlessly.

A group of girls from the family surrounded Link.

He's obviously the fastest man in the Loki Familia, but the number of monsters he killed in the previous battle was far less than Link's…

He's clearly Level 4, but he can easily kill Level 5 monsters.

Is this justified?!

Win!

In the distance, Riveria, Finn, and Gareth were also observing.

The three of them spoke in low voices…

"Finn, how strong do you think Link is now?"

Riveria asked.

"Powerful sword slashes, versatile wind magic, super perception, spatial magic that can store a large amount of elements, and a type of fire attack that has never been released until now…"

Finn bit his finger.

"Wow, haha. In my opinion, although his current level is only LV.4, his actual strength should be at least Level 6. He just killed the LV.5 monster so easily."

Finn nodded.

"I feel like Link's next goal should be to challenge Udaeus."

Riveria keenly noted Finn's carefully considered words, "For him, a satyr of this level doesn't deserve to be called a 'great cause,' right? Tsk… he's really perverse."

The more they interacted, the more frightened the three of them became. Is there really any obstacle for this man?

"Also, his companions named Asagi and Olga aren't weak either. I think they have at least LV.4 strength. The Hestia Familia is actually a hidden dragon and a crouching tiger."

"Hahahahaha!"

Gareth suddenly laughed out loud.

"Fortunately, we're not enemies, right?"

Finn and Riveria fell silent.
