Douluo Dalu: The World Suppressing Douluo

Chapter 134: Chapter 135: First Kill and the Mysterious Blood Pool

After deciding to search the forest for the Evil Soul Masters, Lin Ye, Hu Liena, Xie Yue, and Yan swiftly headed toward the dense woods surrounding Guhe Town.

Upon arriving at the edge of the forest, the group adopted a standard Soul Master formation. Yan, being a defense-type Soul Master and the team's shield, took the lead, clearing the path ahead. Beside him was Xie Yue, tasked with offense and support. Lin Ye and Hu Liena brought up the rear, with Lin Ye serving as an auxiliary Soul Master and Hu Liena as a control-type.

Given the danger posed by Evil Soul Masters, all four had already summoned their martial souls before entering the forest. Hu Liena and Yan activated their Martial Soul Possession, while Lin Ye and Xie Yue brandished their respective martial souls.

The forest near Guhe Town wasn't vast, certainly not as expansive as the Evernight Forest. For Lin Ye, stepping into these woods felt like returning home. After all, he had spent nearly half a year surviving in the Evernight Forest.

Lin Ye had a unique method for tracking Evil Soul Masters in the forest: Tangyuan.

"Lin Ye, is this your so-called secret weapon to find Evil Soul Masters? This... little mouse?"

After entering the forest, Xie Yue couldn't hide his disbelief when Lin Ye pulled out a small white mouse from his clothing.

Though undeniably adorable, the little creature seemed more like a pet than a tracker. Even Xie Yue, a self-proclaimed tough guy, had secretly fed Tangyuan several times just to pet it. But trusting it to find Evil Soul Masters? That was hard to believe.

"Senior Xie Yue, don't underestimate Tangyuan," Lin Ye said with a faint smile, gently stroking the mouse. "Tangyuan is a mutated Gold-Eating Rat I rescued in the Evernight Forest. Besides its sturdy body and sharp teeth, it has an incredibly keen sense of smell. Thanks to Tangyuan, I never had trouble finding medicinal herbs in the Evernight Forest—even those buried underground. If it can find hidden herbs, why not Evil Soul Masters?"

"Is that so? Sounds impressive, but is it really true?" Yan muttered skeptically.

"Why not test it and see?" Hu Liena interjected, cutting the debate short.

Lin Ye crouched down and addressed Tangyuan with a gentle voice, "Tangyuan, help us find anyone nearby who smells like us. If you succeed, I'll give you something delicious later!"

"Chirp, chirp!"

Tangyuan squeaked excitedly, seemingly understanding the promise. It sniffed the air vigorously before darting off into the forest.

"Let's follow!" Lin Ye called out, and the group hurried after the little creature.

---

Before long, Tangyuan led them to a clearing where a group of black-robed figures was gathered. These individuals clutched lifeless deer, their mouths latched onto the animals' necks, sucking blood.

"Evil Soul Masters!" Xie Yue whispered. "Stick to the plan. I'll circle around to flank them. Yan, you charge in head-on. Liena, provide control and support. Lin Ye, keep an eye on the battlefield and enhance us with auxiliary soul skills. Understood?"

Everyone nodded. While Xie Yue stealthily moved to the rear, Yan let out a thunderous roar and charged into the clearing.

"First Soul Skill: Fury of Explosive Flames!"

"Second Soul Skill: Granite Armor!"

Startled by the sudden attack, the Evil Soul Masters froze momentarily, thinking it was a full-fledged assault by Spirit Hall. But upon seeing only a young Soul Ancestor, they sneered.

"Just a Soul Ancestor? What luck! A perfect supplement for us!"

"Indeed. Spirit Hall must be desperate to send someone so weak."

"Enough chatter—take him down!"

As the Evil Soul Masters lunged toward Yan, Lin Ye activated his third soul skill. A black light descended, enveloping Yan and significantly boosting his speed.

Taking advantage of the distraction, Hu Liena dashed forward, her movements enhanced by Lin Ye's support.

"First Soul Skill: Charm!"

Hu Liena's enchanting smile unleashed a wave of irresistible allure, stunning the Evil Soul Masters. Without hesitation, she followed up with her second soul skill.

"Second Soul Skill: Bewitching Mist!"

A pink mist spread across the clearing, dulling the Evil Soul Masters' senses by fifty percent.

Seizing the opportunity, Xie Yue, now behind the disoriented enemies, struck with deadly precision. His crescent moon blades flashed, decapitating several Evil Soul Masters in an instant. Yan, with his molten fist, smashed another to the ground, where Xie Yue swiftly finished it off.

"First blood! A good start," Xie Yue remarked, a faint smile breaking through his cold demeanor.

"Collect the proof of kill. Let's move on," Lin Ye instructed, his tone calm but firm.

---

Meanwhile, in Guhe Town, another team of Soul Masters had unwittingly wandered into a secluded courtyard.

"Still no sign of the Evil Soul Masters," a purple-haired Soul Master named Ziluo muttered in frustration, puffing her cheeks.

Suddenly, a teammate called out from inside a building. "Ziluo, come look! There's a blood pool in here!"

"A blood pool?" Ziluo's brows furrowed as she approached the voice.

Inside the hall, she saw a large pool filled with thick, blood-red liquid, exuding a nauseating stench. Just as she took a cautious step closer, her expression changed drastically.

"Wait!" she shouted, her voice trembling.

From the pool, the blood began to churn violently. Several blood-red tendrils emerged, writhing ominously toward her.

"Danger! Get out of here!"
