Chapter 555: Chapter 555: The Death of Tang Hao
Standing behind Tang Hao, Tang San lowered his gaze, calculating in his mind. He suspected that awakening his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline might cost the Blue Silver King something—perhaps the power Ah Yin left within the Blue Silver Emperor's territory?
But if the Blue Silver King was the only obstacle, he didn't actually need him at all. He could kill the Blue Silver King, absorb him, and his Blue Silver Grass would advance to the Blue Silver King level. Then he could drain the ancestral land's power, pushing his bloodline all the way to the Blue Silver Emperor.
Tang San quietly transmitted his plan to Tang Hao, who nodded slightly without a word. Seeing Tang San slowly reach for the soul tool at his waist, Tang Hao abruptly commanded, "Xiao San, now!"
In an instant, Tang San's right hand produced a powerful Zhuge Divine Crossbow, while his left held a Sandstorm Needle. Although he lacked the materials to make a King's Toll, these two hidden weapons should be enough; after all, the Blue Silver King wasn't particularly strong.
Seeing the concealed weapons flying toward him, the Blue Silver King realized he couldn't dodge in time and instinctively took a step back, raising his hands in front of him, silently praying his Queen would arrive in time to save him.
Just as the weapons seemed to reach the Blue Silver King, Tang San and Tang Hao thought they had succeeded when swirling spatial vortices suddenly appeared in front of the Blue Silver King.
Tang San's eyes widened in horror. "This is bad!"
They knew this spatial power well—it belonged to Su Ming. But how could he be here?
Before they could react, a spatial vortex appeared behind Tang Hao.
Thud!
Caught off guard, Tang Hao was hit by the arrows from the Zhuge Divine Crossbow and the projectiles from the Sandstorm Needle. Spitting blood, he turned back, shocked. Already weakened, with only a minimal amount of spirit power at his disposal, he had no chance of deflecting Tang San's hidden weapons.
"Su Ming! Show yourself. I know it's you!" Tang San's face twisted with rage.
A moment later, Su Ming and his companions emerged from the shadows.
Tang Hao's gaze bypassed the familiar faces of Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo, fixating instead on the blue-clad woman beside Su Ming. Trembling, he whispered, "Ah… Ah Yin!"
A realization struck Tang Hao, and his expression turned to fury. "Why are you here?!"
In that moment, Tang Hao understood everything: the reason behind Tang San's ten-thousand-year Blue Silver Emperor spirit bone degrading to a hundred years. It was all Ah Yin's doing! If she was here, then the blue silver grass in the cave back in Holy Spirit Village was a mere illusion she had used to deceive him.
Tang San ignored his father's injuries, staring in disbelief at Ah Yin and Tang Hao, murmuring, "So, this is my mother? But… why is she with Su Ming?"
"Father, didn't you say she sacrificed herself for you and was only a blue silver plant now?"
Tang Hao stood silent, staring at Ah Yin, his expression questioning everything. Why?
Su Ming gestured for Ah Yin to step forward, deciding not to interfere. With Tang Hao and Tang San in their current state, neither could escape—unless the God of Shura intervened again.
He had already instructed Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo to be ready; should the God of Shura appear, they would use their fusion skill to bind Tang Hao first. Tang Hao wasn't the God's chosen heir, so it was likely the God of Shura would sacrifice him to save Tang San. This time, at least one of them would die.
Without a trace of emotion, Ah Yin spoke, "Tang Hao, I saw everything just now. Are you going to deny it?"
"Ah Yin, let me explain!" Tang Hao's face showed panic.
In truth, Tang Hao had nothing to explain—what they had done was plainly obvious. But he hoped Ah Yin would remember their past and let them go.
Ah Yin seemed prepared to attack but paused to ask, "Tang Hao, answer honestly. After my sacrifice, you took our son and hid in Holy Spirit Village. Was your ruined, miserable state truly because of guilt? Don't tell me it was."
Seeing a glimmer of hope, Tang Hao eagerly replied, "Ah Yin, it was! I was devastated after your sacrifice, so I hid in the village with Xiao San. Please, believe me!"
Su Ming spoke up from the side, "Tang Hao, weren't you in that sorry state because you caused your father's death? You defied him to pursue your own desires, and Ah Yin's sacrifice was just an excuse to push her into it. Otherwise, why didn't you bring her here to the Blue Silver Emperor's land? Why wander endlessly with her while she was pregnant?"
The truth struck Tang Hao like a blow. How did Su Ming know this?
Ah Yin's expression hardened at the sight of Tang Hao's face—she already knew the answer.
Her body began to glow, and with her right hand, she channeled her spirit power, forming a spear.
"The Blue Silver Tyrant Spear!"
It was a skill Su Ming had taught her over the past two days, an attack she mastered quickly through her control over her spirit power.
Seeing the impending danger, Tang Hao turned to Tang San. "Xiao San, run!"
Activating his Killing God Domain, he prepared to shield Tang San and retreat.
Instantly, a dark red figure materialized, casting a cold gaze at Su Ming before trying to spirit Tang San away.
"Martial Spirit Fusion Skill—Level Two Static Field!"
Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo reacted swiftly, launching their fusion skill. However, while the fusion immobilized Tang Hao, it was ineffective against the God of Shura, who wrapped Tang San in his power and swiftly escaped.
Su Ming muttered under his breath about the God of Shura's repeated escapes, noting how he always seemed to flee in the nick of time.
Tang Hao, meanwhile, was frozen in place, unable to avoid Ah Yin's spear. The Blue Silver Tyrant Spear pierced his heart.
As his vision darkened, Tang Hao cast a final glance into the distance, blood pouring from his mouth, regret flooding him. He wouldn't be there to protect Tang San anymore.
