Gojo Satoru: The Strongest Sorcerer Among Exorcists

Chapter 29: Chapter 28: It’s a Yes, But... I Refuse

Slowly, an hour passed.

Finishing the last bite of cake on his plate, Gojo Satoru leaned back with a satisfied expression.

"This café's cakes are pretty good. I could see myself coming back here more often."

"No way!"

Nino blurted out instinctively.

"Huh?"

"Uh… I mean, you'd have to bring me along when you do," she quickly corrected, folding her arms as her tsundere nature kicked in. "I want to come here too. Their cakes and coffee are really good."

Feeling his puzzled gaze on her, Nino touched her cheek awkwardly, realizing she'd just let her true feelings slip out.

Hearing her response and catching sight of her ahem obvious assets, Gojo silently nodded to himself.

You've got your reasons.

"Still plenty of time left—why don't we check out the mall nearby, Gojo-kun?" Nino suddenly suggested, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

As someone passionate about fashion, she couldn't resist the allure of the giant shopping mall just down the street.

"Uh... shopping?"

Gojo's face immediately fell.

Even with his Reversed Cursed Technique capable of revitalizing his mental state, he was not a fan of accompanying anyone on a shopping spree.

It might just be a universal male affliction.

"Pretty please?" Nino's face was filled with anticipation, the kind that few could refuse.

Gojo, however, silently declared—

"It's a yes, but... Daga Kotowaru!"

"Huh?"

Nino's excited expression froze. It was as if the world around her turned monochrome.

"Pfft, sorry, sorry. Just kidding."

"Are you JoJo?!" Nino couldn't help but retort.

Out of curiosity, she had read the manga before, and the reference wasn't lost on her.

Meanwhile, Downstairs

Ichika and the others sat idly at their table, scrolling through their phones while occasionally glancing at Itsuki, who was still working on her omelet rice.

The table was stacked with empty plates, including those of desserts the others couldn't finish—plates Itsuki had happily devoured. Her appetite was something they were long used to.

Suddenly, Yotsuba, who had been attentively scanning their surroundings, perked up in excitement.

"Look, look! I think Nino's coming downstairs!"

Instantly, the three other sisters turned in the direction Yotsuba was pointing, including Itsuki, who paused mid-bite.

Sure enough, Nino appeared, walking down the stairs while animatedly talking to someone behind her.

Here he comes! Nino's boyfriend!

The four sisters widened their eyes in anticipation.

At last, both Nino and Gojo Satoru stepped onto the first floor, entering their line of sight.

"He's so tall!" Yotsuba muttered, her voice dazed.

"Definitely has a unique look," Ichika observed, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

"He's alright," Miku said quietly, her assessment brief.

"He's fine, I guess," Itsuki added casually before returning to her omelet rice.

Men don't interest her—can you eat them?

Their spot was fairly hidden, and Nino's attention was entirely on Gojo, so she didn't notice her sisters sitting in the café.

However, Gojo seemed to sense something. He briefly turned his head, his gaze landing directly on the four sisters' table.

This sent a jolt of panic through them.

"Uh-oh, uh-oh! Did he see us?!" Yotsuba whispered anxiously, ducking her head in alarm as if to hide her petite frame.

"Relax, Yotsuba. Even if he saw us, he wouldn't know we're Nino's sisters," Miku reassured her in a calm tone.

"They're leaving. Let's follow them," Ichika said, grabbing her phone and standing up quickly.

"Yes, we can't lose them!"

"C'mon, Itsuki! Stop eating—we're moving out!"

"How about… you all go first? I'll just finish this omelet rice and catch up later, okay?" Itsuki said with a sheepish grin.

Glare x3.

"Fine, fine, I'm coming!"

With a dramatic sigh, Itsuki took one last bite of her rice before reluctantly getting up to follow.

Pushing open the doors of the Akatsuki Café, they walked out as the maids cheerfully bid them farewell:

"Goodbye, miladies! Please visit us again!"

The sisters quickly donned their disguises—sunglasses and hats—before carefully tailing the duo in the distance.

Passersby glanced at them curiously, their behavior drawing attention.

After all, they looked exactly like paparazzi in a spy movie.
