Marvel: Beginning with the Collection of Shinra Tensei

Chapter 113: Chapter 114: The Summoning from Another World

Pierce didn't believe it. He thought Han Yu was merely trying to scare him and pressed the button hidden in his palm without hesitation.

A fiery explosion erupted from the pile of bombs. At the moment of detonation, Han Yu extended his hand toward the explosives. In an instant, an immense surge of green energy burst forth from his palm, enveloping the entire pile of bombs.

The colossal explosion was contained within the green energy, unable to dissipate. The smoke and flames were compressed and extinguished within the glowing emerald field.

Watching this scene unfold, Pierce felt like the true clown was himself. The madness on his face faded, replaced by sheer terror.

Previously, when he visited the general store, Wanda had effortlessly subdued him. When Han Yu and his team arrived, Pierce's subordinates informed him that Wanda was not present. Seizing the opportunity, Pierce planned to use the lives of everyone in the building as leverage. Even if he couldn't kill Han Yu, he wanted to make him suffer.

But he hadn't anticipated the presence of such an incredibly fast man by Han Yu's side. In the blink of an eye, the man had located every bomb in the building, leaving Pierce no time to even press the button.

"You won't talk? Then I'll do it myself!"

Brilliant green light shone from Han Yu's eyes, his black pupils covered by a crystalline emerald sheen—a trait of his ring: telepathy.

Han Yu infiltrated Pierce's mind, flipping through his memories like scenes from a movie.

"Strange. This guy hasn't encountered anyone resembling the Joker, nor has he played the GTA game. So why is he wearing this makeup and acting like the Joker?"

Han Yu frowned. The telepathic ability of the Green Lantern Ring was nearly impossible to resist unless the target possessed something akin to the Mind Stone or was on the level of a cosmic deity. Otherwise, resistance was futile.

Pierce, an ordinary human, had no means to resist this telepathy. That meant he genuinely had no connection to the Joker.

"Boss?"

Though unsure of the situation, Ultron and Quicksilver stepped forward and stood protectively on either side of Han Yu.

"Steve, I don't want to keep this guy alive. Killing him won't bother you, will it?"

Han Yu's voice was cold. Captain America hesitated for a moment before nodding. He couldn't understand Han Yu's sudden change in demeanor. Han Yu, who was usually calm and kind, now radiated an icy authority that pressed down on everyone around him.

Though framed as a question, Han Yu's tone left no room for argument. No matter Captain America's response, Han Yu had already made up his mind.

After receiving Steve's acknowledgment, Han Yu tightened his grip and snapped Pierce's neck without hesitation. He had no mercy for his enemies.

If his enemies showed any sign of redemption, Han Yu might consider sparing them. But he understood the Joker archetype. He knew how terrifying such individuals could be.

The Joker remained Batman's greatest nemesis because Batman refused to kill. Despite having numerous opportunities to end the Joker's life, Batman always chose to capture him alive.

Batman wanted to prove that Gotham, though drowning in darkness, could still be saved. He saw himself as the light piercing through that darkness. If he ever allowed the Joker to provoke him into crossing that line, Gotham's last hope would vanish.

Han Yu didn't have such concerns. When it came to such extreme villains, he killed without hesitation. He had no psychological burden and no need to prove anything to anyone.

"You dared to come out with this level of strength? You're not even close to his level."

Han Yu carelessly tossed aside Pierce's lifeless body and checked on Nick Fury and Natasha. After giving them some basic medical attention, he instructed Captain America to take them to the hospital.

Han Yu then sat alone in a chair, watching others clean up Pierce's corpse.

"Boss, aren't we heading back yet?" Ultron asked.

It wasn't until Ultron spoke that Han Yu seemed to snap out of his thoughts.

"Ultron, keep an eye on Pierce's corpse. Don't let anyone who comes into contact with it escape your surveillance."

He needed to ensure the situation remained under control. Han Yu despised being in a reactive position; it made him uneasy and could lead to irreversible consequences.

"Don't worry, Boss. I've integrated a part of my consciousness into S.H.I.E.L.D.'s satellite systems. I'll monitor everything closely," Ultron assured him.

The group began making their way back to the general store. However, Han Yu didn't notice something strange: the pool of Pierce's uncleaned blood on the floor was slowly evaporating. The crimson liquid transformed into green particles, drifting away on the faint breeze...

. . .

Han Yu had just laid down on his bed at the general store, his mind replaying the details of Pierce's memories. "He clearly never had any contact with the Joker, so how did he end up like this? Could it really just be insanity?"

No matter how hard Han Yu tried, he couldn't make sense of it. Just as he was lost in thought, the system of the general store suddenly activated.

"Instant Mission Triggered: [Save Gaiabrand]. The highest mission rating is SSS. The host may decide the style of mission completion. Option 1: Complete the mission casually, reward: 100 upgrade points. Option 2: Complete the mission cautiously, rewards will increase based on the host's level of caution."

Han Yu sat up in bed, puzzled. "What do you mean? System, repeat that again."

This was the first time he had encountered a world he had never experienced before, which surprised him. But Han Yu also knew that regardless of the world he was assigned to, it would always be one from an anime or a movie—he just might not know which one yet.

"Listen to the goddess Ristarte for the details. Good luck."

"Wha—Wait, what the—!"

Before Han Yu could fully process the words, a burst of light suddenly appeared beneath him. Before he could react, he was pulled into a radiant portal created by the light.

. . .

Boom! A golden beam of light descended from the sky, crashing into a magnificent and ornate temple. Its arrival stirred up a thick cloud of dust.

"Ow, ow, ow... What is wrong with this system? It didn't even finish explaining before sending me here! This feels more like a forced mission than anything else."

As the dust settled, Han Yu was revealed, clutching his lower back and sucking in a sharp breath.

Despite his grand entrance with a descending golden beam, the reality was far less elegant. He had been tumbling uncontrollably inside the light and had landed flat on his back.

Fortunately, he reacted quickly. As the dust began to settle, he performed a kip-up, springing to his feet just in time to avoid looking completely disheveled.

"Wow... so cool..."

Not far from Han Yu, a golden-haired girl murmured in awe, her wide eyes sparkling with admiration, practically forming heart shapes as she gazed at him.
