"Clint?"

Seeing the old man in front of him dazed, Adrian raised his hand and snapped his fingers twice. Now was not the time to daydream—there were still things that needed to be done.

Zemo was dead, but the Weapon X factory needed to keep running. This couldn't be accomplished by just a few individuals and scientists.

"Ah, I'm here," Hawkeye nodded, bringing himself back to reality. He and Wanda followed Adrian as he walked forward.

After a short conversation, the three of them soon arrived at the entrance to a warehouse, where two Hydra soldiers stood guard. Without hesitation, Adrian raised his hand and took them out with two quick shots. Their bodies crumpled to the ground, blood pooling beneath them.

As they entered the warehouse, a group of maintenance workers and cleaning staff huddled in a corner. They had likely been gathered for inspection after the recent conflict broke out.

Seeing the bodies on the ground and the sudden appearance of these intruders, the workers looked at each other, clearly surprised and nervous.

It seemed they had no idea what had been happening.

This group was responsible for maintaining the base's internal factory operations and, on occasion, were used as replacement test subjects.

"Ahem, guys, don't worry. Have you heard of the Avengers? That's us, and we just took out Hydra," Clint coughed, grabbing his bow. He had been waiting for a chance to say that.

A man who appeared to be the foreman stepped out from the group, hesitantly asking, "So… what should we do now?"

Whether the Avengers were in charge or not, it didn't seem like Hydra or any other soldiers were coming back. At least for the moment, the factory belonged to these new arrivals.

To be honest, this kind of situation wasn't uncommon in the wasteland. One day the boss might be the Criminal Gang, and the next it could be the Evil Spirit Gang or someone else. It wasn't that surprising, really. The only difference this time was that the previous boss was Hydra.

"Everything continues as usual," Adrian replied calmly. "Keep the factory running."

"But with Hydra gone, is our work still necessary?" a cleaning staff member asked hesitantly.

Adrian smiled. "Of course it's necessary. Even though the base no longer belongs to Hydra, it still holds value."

The foreman, trying to distance himself from Hydra, added, "We only worked for Hydra to survive, not because we were loyal."

"I understand," Adrian shrugged. "No need to feel guilty. Just keep following the previous work orders, and I'll make sure you stay safe."

"Oh, and I'm not sure what Hydra was paying you, but from now on, everyone gets double."

After a few more words to calm their nerves, Adrian led Wanda and Clint out of the warehouse, watching as the workers began whispering among themselves.

As soon as they stepped outside, Adrian turned to Wanda and whispered, "Once I'm gone, I need you to scan everyone's minds in the factory. No need to invade their privacy—just check their general positions. If there are any Hydra supporters, we need to know."

He paused, glanced at Clint, and added, "Don't go easy on them."

Wanda nodded thoughtfully. What Adrian said made sense. The Weapon X factory couldn't be run by just a handful of people—it required a lot of maintenance personnel. But who knew if any of these lower-level workers had a positive opinion of Hydra? Caution was necessary.

Then Wanda looked at Adrian and asked, "Are you leaving? Alone?"

Adrian nodded. "Frank and I are heading back to Hammerfall. Pietro should have finished the tasks I gave him earlier. We agreed to meet there."

"You and Clint will stay here and manage these people. Get them to repair the communication facilities and deactivate Frank's protection system."

"Oh, and there's a holographic device Zemo used to fake being paralyzed in the control room. You can use it to fool the Red Skull. After all, that's how Zemo tricked them before."

After giving all the important instructions, Adrian began walking down the corridor he had arrived from. This time, though, the corridor wasn't dark, and there were no more obstacles. He ignored the bodies growing cold along the way as he exited the factory, stepping outside into a landscape covered in ice and snow.

Without Hydra, the massive factory area seemed especially peaceful. Snowflakes fell silently, and the distant mountains, blanketed in white, looked majestic.

Adrian shrugged his shoulders and began walking toward the distant forest with swift steps.

He cleared his throat and called out, "Frank?" His voice echoed, breaking the silence of the winter landscape. But the forest remained still.

Then, after a light rustling sound, a tall figure emerged from the depths of the trees. It was Frank. He wore a heavy leather jacket, holding a rifle in one hand, with a large black backpack slung over his shoulder.

"Is it done inside?" Frank asked, white breath puffing around him. Even for him, the cold here was biting. It was no wonder Weapon X had chosen this location—ordinary people wouldn't find this place, no matter the season.

Adrian nodded and led Frank back the way he had come. By the time they entered the factory again, their previous tracks had already been covered by snow and ice.

But after receiving the serum, Adrian's memory had sharpened to the point where he could navigate simply by recalling the trees' growth patterns and their positions.

"Zemo's dead. The factory's completely under our control. The others are staying behind."

"So, what's the plan now? Are we building an army?" Frank cracked his neck. He had spent the better part of the day watching the snowy landscape and was frustrated he hadn't been able to go in and kill some Hydra soldiers himself.

"We're still missing some 'materials' for the Super Soldier serum. We'll have to head into the wasteland to find someone to buy what we need," Adrian replied, the snow crunching underfoot.

Wanda could handle any problems Clint couldn't solve, and Clint could take out anyone Wanda wasn't willing to kill. The two of them would be fine here.

"But first, we're going to Hammerfall."

After hearing Adrian's words, Frank quietly nodded. He had always been a man of few words. Perhaps because he saw himself as a soldier, and a soldier's duty was to carry out orders—no need for extra conversation.

Together, the two disappeared into the snow, gradually leaving the factory behind, becoming nothing more than small black dots against the vast, white expanse.
