Naruto: Marrying Kushina Uzumaki From The Start!

Chapter 46: Yoruichi returns

Uzumaki Mito and Kushina entered the training grounds, guided by a Jonin from the Administrative Department.

"Danzo-sama, Mito-sama, Koharu-sama, Uzumaki Mito-sama has arrived," the Jonin announced.

In the center stood Danzo, Homura Mitokado, and Koharu Utatane. Near them was a young girl, tied with iron chains.

The girl, Yugito Nii, the Two-Tails' jinchūriki, trembled as tears streaked her face. Her lips quivered as she tried to suppress her fear.

Danzo stepped forward. "Uzumaki Mito-sama, the jinchūriki seems unstable. We are considering transferring the Two-Tails to a new host. What is your opinion?"

Mito frowned as she examined Yugito's frightened state. "What are you doing? Release her immediately if you want to prevent an incident."

Kushina stepped up, anger flashing in her eyes. "She's just a kid! How can you treat her like this?"

Koharu scowled. "Kushina, this is not your place to speak! Releasing her is too dangerous. What if she loses control? Who will answer for that?"

Mito's gaze sharpened. "Kushina is right. Your methods will only make things worse. Let her go."

At this moment, the Tailed Beast Bomb from the Two-Tails Matatabi was launched toward Uzumaki Mito.

Uzumaki Mito roared, drawing on the Nine-Tails' chakra. She materialized a massive chakra hand resembling the sharp claws of the Nine-Tailed Fox to intercept the Tailed Beast Bomb.

Boom!

The entire barrier shook violently from the impact.

Kushina Uzumaki clutched her chest, muttering, "Grandma Mito, you have to be okay..."

Suddenly, Kushina noticed something amiss.

"This... this must be premeditated!"

Inside the barrier, Uzumaki Mito glanced outside and noticed that Danzo and the others were gone. Only the four Jonin maintaining the Four Violet Flames Formation remained.

Distracted, Mito was caught off guard. Matatabi's massive claws swiped at her, sending her flying.

"Grandma Mito!"

Coughing blood, Uzumaki Mito found herself in a strange place—a massive iron gate loomed before her. Behind it was the Nine-Tails, its fiery orange-red form glaring with malice.

"Uzumaki Mito, you're in trouble, aren't you?" the Nine-Tails growled. "Release all my power! Let me out, and I'll handle this for you!"

"Hmph," Mito snorted. "Nine-Tails, after all these years, do you think I don't know what you're planning?"

She added coldly, "I'll borrow your strength, but don't even think about taking over my body or breaking free. That won't happen!"

Opening her eyes, Mito's gaze turned sharp, her pupils transforming into vertical slits.

"Partial Tailed Beast Transformation!"

Her body surged with dark red chakra, forming a menacing chakra cloak. She appeared like a humanoid Tailed Beast, although not entirely in Nine-Tails form—she now emanated the aura of the Six-Tails, which she had borrowed for restraint over the years.

The overwhelming force sent Matatabi flying with a single blow.

Boom!

Matatabi snarled angrily and leaped forward, but Mito countered instantly, wrapping her fingers with chakra of five attributes.

"Five Elements Seal!"

Matatabi's feline agility allowed it to dodge the strike and swipe its claws at Mito again. Their clash grew fiercer, each blow carrying massive chakra. Finally, the two separated, both battered and breathing heavily.

Mito gasped for air, wiping the blood from her mouth. She didn't press the attack further, aware that pushing her transformation any further might allow the Nine-Tails to break free.

But Matatabi didn't have such limitations.

"Damn it…" Mito growled, clenching her fists. "Do I have to let Kushina seal this cat and become a Jinchuriki?"

She hated the thought. She had long regarded Kushina as family, preparing her to inherit the Nine-Tails' power. Now, it seemed the young girl might be forced to bear the burden of another Tailed Beast instead.

Outside the training grounds, Danzo, Homura Mitokado, and Koharu Utatane observed the barrier, smirking.

"Danzo," Homura asked, his tone cautious, "Are you sure trapping them in there won't kill them?"

Danzo sneered. "The Nine-Tails isn't going to lose to the Two-Tails. Relax, Mito won't let Kushina be harmed."

He added with a glint of malice, "No matter the outcome, Yoruichi will lose his only protection. How can a severely injured Mito ensure his safety? Besides, this is the perfect chance to decide who should inherit the Nine-Tails."

Danzo's voice turned cold. "We can't let Yoruichi and the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki remain close. And don't forget his ties to the Uchiha clan. Did you see how Uchiha Mikoto reacted today? There might be more between them than we realize."

"For the peace of Konoha, we must remove all potential threats."

Homura frowned. "But Yoruichi is strong—one of the best in Konoha. If he retaliates..."

Koharu scoffed. "Retaliate? On us? We're elders of the village. He wouldn't dare lay a finger on us. If he tries, the Hokage himself will act to protect the village's peace. Against all of us, he's just a child. What could he possibly do?"

---

Meanwhile, Yoruichi and Minato Namikaze returned to Konoha Village, unaware of the dark plans brewing behind the scenes.
