Under the Night Sky.

From above the clouds, one could see flickering flames sporadically lighting up various parts of Konoha. 

In the pale moonlight, the once orderly and bustling village was now in ruins in many areas. 

Small black shadows darted across the rubble. Some engaged in combat, while others recklessly dashed towards the dark forest. 

Meanwhile, within the shadows of Konoha's dark forest, the battles were even fiercer. 

Under the calculated assault of the numerous allied forces of Iwa and Suna, Konoha's resistance appeared feeble. 

Although Konoha responded quickly, they struggled against the large numbers and the overwhelming strength of the allied forces, suffering heavy casualties.

Inside the Hokage Office 

"How is it? Is there any news on the Hokage?" 

In the office, Homura's anxious voice echoed. 

A kneeling ANBU ninja immediately reported, "Advisor-sama, we've located the Hokage! He's currently engaged in a fierce battle with the Tsuchikage in the western forest. Some clan leaders have already led their ninjas to reinforce him, and ANBU operatives are stationed nearby, awaiting his orders!" 

Hearing this, the tension on Homura's face eased, but only briefly. He then asked grimly, "Have we identified what defeated Shukaku? And where it went?" 

The ANBU ninja's face darkened. After a moment's hesitation, he replied, "Based on reports from the returning ninjas, it was defeated by a summoning beast called by the rogue ninja, Aizen. They described it as resembling a bear." 

"...A bear?" Homura murmured, frowning in confusion. 

Why would Aizen help Konoha by defeating Shukaku? And when did he acquire a summoning beast capable of overpowering the One-Tailed Shukaku? 

Although questions lingered in his mind, Homura shook his head and moved on, asking, "What about Orochimaru? Wasn't he tasked with dealing with Shukaku? Now that it's gone, where is he?" 

The ANBU ninja raised his head and replied solemnly, "Orochimaru-sama, along with Tsunade-sama, Sakumo-sama, and Jiraiya-sama, confronted Aizen. They've since disappeared from Konoha, and their current location is unknown." 

Homura's expression darkened further. 

He was well aware of Aizen's strength. Even three years ago, Aizen could contend with the Tsuchikage and the Third Hokage without faltering. Now, his power had undoubtedly grown even further. 

Orochimaru and the others might not be able to defeat him. 

As an advisor to Konoha, Homura's judgment was sharp and precise.

"Knock! Knock! Knock!" 

Rapid knocking interrupted his thoughts. 

"Come in!" Homura called out. 

A female ANBU ninja rushed in, her voice urgent. "Advisor-sama, there's been a change on the battlefield! According to reports from injured returning ninjas, it seems that members of Hueco Mundo have shifted their target towards Iwa and Suna forces." 

"Hueco Mundo... helping Konoha?" 

Both Homura and another ANBU ninja looked visibly surprised. 

While this news brought some relief—granting Konoha a temporary reprieve to formulate a strategy against the Iwa-Suna coalition—Homura remained cautious. 

Aizen's motives were still unclear. This could very well be part of a larger conspiracy. 

With a grim expression, Homura issued new orders 

"First, deploy reinforcements to the Third Hokage's location. Ensure his safety at all costs!" 

"Second, avoid direct conflict with members of Hueco Mundo for now. Shift battles to the outskirts of the village and avoid entering the forest recklessly!" 

After analyzing the previous reports, Homura realized that the Iwa and Suna forces hadn't fully invaded Konoha but were instead waging a battle of attrition in the surrounding forest. 

In such circumstances, minimizing the loss of Konoha's forces was crucial. Even if they survived this war, the price Konoha would pay could be devastating. 

With his orders delivered, the two ANBU ninjas swiftly exited. 

Homura sat at his desk, his expression complicated as he silently questioned, *Can Konoha endure this crisis?*

In the Distant Forest.

In the pitch-black forest, sharp sounds of weapons clashing broke the stillness. 

"Clang!" "Clink!" "Bang!" "Crash!" 

Sparks flew as weapons collided, briefly illuminating several grim faces. 

In an instant, chaos erupted like wildfire. 

"Earth Release Earth Burial Swamp!" 

"Fire Release Incinerating Fang Technique!" 

"Black Secret Technique Crow Dissection!" 

"We're ambushed! Retreat!" a Konoha ninja shouted. 

But before he could finish, a misstep left him impaled by sharp earthen spikes erupting from the ground. 

His expression froze in disbelief as life left his body, his death horrific. 

A variety of ninjutsu ran rampant, the battlefield engulfed in devastation. 

After the initial clash, the chaos subsided somewhat. 

The situation became clear more Iwa and Suna ninjas emerged on the treetops, their cold eyes locked onto the remaining Konoha ninja. 

The commanding Iwa ninja's gaze sharpened, and he ordered, "Finish them quickly. We need to continue setting ambushes here!" 

The other ninjas nodded and began weaving signs.

As intricate jutsu rained down upon the surviving Konoha ninjas, their faces turned pale, death reflected in their widened eyes. 

Suddenly— 

"Boom!" 

Thick smoke erupted, enveloping the battlefield in an instant. 

The Iwa ninjas narrowed their eyes, warily observing the anomaly. 

The next moment— 

"Boom!" 

With a deafening explosion, enormous tree trunks, several meters thick, twisted and lashed out like the limbs of a giant octopus, surging towards them with terrifying speed.
