Pokemon - A real story

The glow at first was very dim. Even inside the glow, the body of Nidoking started to change. It started to get a bit bigger and bigger. Before it was around 6 feet tall which was high for a normal Nidoking. However, now it was 6.5 feet tall. A rise of half feet in height could mean many things for a fighter like Nidoking.

The glow started to dim down and now Axel could see the vague outline of Nidoking. Nidoking had changed. Its horns had become longer, more pointy. Its claws were also longer and pointy and so were its feet and tail. It looked a bit slimmer than before and its hand and biceps had increased. Its ear had become a bit smaller and its teeth looked very deadly.

Hints of poison were coming out of its horn and the point of its tail. The overall color of Nidoking had slightly changed and now it looked like a mixture of purple and dark yellow.

Just when he thought that the mini evolution was over, it roared again, and then it started to glow again.

"What is happening?", asked Axel.

Ding!

Nidoking is ranking up to tier 3.

That was a sweet surprise but it was not something groundbreaking. After reaching its ancient form, all of its stats had rapidly increased and now it was eligible to rank up to tier 3.

It had done a lot of hard work and had a lot of patience and now it had finally reached tier 3. Axel was very happy about it. Axel must say that for the tide battle, Nidoking was more proficient and powerful than Shedinja and Charizard as most of its moves and strategy focused on AOE attacks.

A tier 3 king rank Nidoking would be very helpful for Axel in the coming tide battle.

Axel used a mature poison barb on Nidoking to elevate its powers during the rank-up. The process of rank up took around 10 minutes and then slowly the glow started to die down and now Nidoking had finally reached tier 3 king rank.

ROOOARRR

It gave a huge earth-shaking roar. The sound wave from the roar traveled very far. The weaker Pokemons and his family members had already fainted from the sound wave.

Axel was happy and worried at the same time. Happy that Nidoking had grown so strong and dependable and worried that he had to take all of his family members and his young Pokemons to the hospital.

"Your family members are fine. You don't need to worry about it. You were worried that they might have a hint of poison but they do not. They are all okay. They just fainted due to the huge power burst from your Pokemon.", said the nurse.

"Thank you, doctor. When can I take all of them home?"

"Any time now. I just gave them something to rest. They will wake up after a few hours and then they are good to go. I want you to sign the discharge papers."

"Yes, thank you, nurse."

"Hey, Buddy, that was not your fault. Don't worry. We are all okay.", said Noah as he patted Nidoking's back.

Nidoking was feeling very guilty about all the things that happened.

"Meg, you don't need to worry about these things. The only thing that you need to do is train super hard so that you protect Axel and bring him back alive. Is that something that you can do?", asked Axel's mother.

"Yes, I can do that," replied Nidoking.

"Good, then continue the training and be the best at what you are good at."

Nidoking had become fairly powerful after the effects of 'Ancient power'. Its stats had rapidly increased with its special attack being the highest at S+ rank. It was the closest to reaching pseudo-champion rank except for Slowemperor.

So, naturally, Axel was very happy about this.

"The only thing that you need to do right now is to focus on 'Toxic thread' and get comfortable on your new body.", said Axel.

Both of them went to the training ground and Axel said, "Meg, I want to see your speed. Run as fast as you can without any power-ups. Do it, now!!!"

SWOOCH!!!

Nidoking used its top speed to run from point A to point B. Axel calculated its speed from the clock.

"Meg, your speed has rapidly increased. 'Ancient power' had increased your speed to a good degree. Now it is time to see your other body stats."

Other body stats of Nidoking had also grown stronger but not as much like speed. Its attack stats were the second one except for agility which had done a noticeable leap.

"Hmm, that is problematic.", mumbled Axel.

"What do you mean? Isn't this good enough that I have become faster and stronger than before?", asked Nidoking.

"Of course, it is good, buddy but now we have to change your way of fighting too. The way you use your moves and the way you move. Everything needs to be changed if we want to bring out our true potential.

At first, you were heavy and slow. Even though you were faster than normal Nidokings, you were still slower. So, we focused on special attacks and AOE control effect.

Now, you are faster. So, we can also train you in fast attacks too. You can fight in both ways. But getting used to doing such a thing will take time and it could not be completed in just a month.

Let's do one thing. As of right now, we will not focus much on physical attacks but try to increase the speed of your special attacks and status moves. You will also focus on 'Toxic thread'. That will be your training plan for this month."

He looked at Nidoking and how it trained. It was getting used to its new body and that would take some time.

Axel was beginning to understand the growing problem of having a lot of Pokemons and yet he just could not help it. He found these Pokemons interesting and he was still in his 2nd region. He still had a lot of time and a lot of Pokemons to capture.

So, right now, he had to prioritize. He just gave his new Pokemons some general directions and let them enjoy. The older Pokemons were the ones that were going to fight in this tide battle. So, he had to focus on them.

Charizard, Pidgeot, and Shedinja were training on their own in different parts of the world. The training plans of Nidoking had already been decided. Gyarados was learning the new move and it still not be able to grasp it. It was very close and could master it in a couple of days.

The only Pokemon that were left to even think about were, Beedrill, Alakazam, Slowemperor, Gogoat, Mamoswine, and Steelix.

Venusaur had just ranked up and it was doing good on its own. As of right now, it could not learn any new moves. The best thing that it could do right now was to get used to its new power and upgrade a couple of existing moves which it could do itself.

Steelix's stats were already very good for the tide battle. It was now a tier 2 king rank Pokemon and it was training its five girlfriends.

So, Beedrill, Alakazam, Gogoat, Slowemperor and Mamoswine.

"Beedrill, Light. Come over here for a second.", said Axel.

Axel had given them a task to do and now it was time to see how much they had improved. Beedrill had learned the move 'Poison armor' but it had not been able to level it up to level 40. It was level 37 right now but Axel believed that it would be able to level it up till the end of 3 weeks.

"You are doing a good job. Don't think that you are not making a lot of progress. Training in poison-type moves would take some time. You need to have patience.

If you are able to level it up to level 40, then we should focus on your 'Poison domain'. It is very weak right now."

Coming to Alakazam, the progress was almost nonexistent. Alakazam was not trained on how to create portals. The concept of a portal was very new and Alakazam had to start from scratch regarding it.

"Light, you are all ready for the tide battle, so don't feel sad if you are not able to make any progress in this concept. We just have to try harder. Now, I have something that might help you.", said Axel and took out his bad and opened the zipper of the bad.

Inside the bag was a wooden box covered in some ancient cravings.

"This here is something that we call space stone. Now, this is a very valuable resource and it was given by Lucario on the Aeus island. I had talked to him about this concept way before and he had given me this.

The reason why I didn't give it to you before was cause I felt that you could do this without the help of this.

Now, I don't know what this stone does but Lucario did say that it would help you a lot in comprehending space moves.

So, give it a try."

Axel gave the box to Alakazam telling them that others could not touch it. Axel didn't know how Lucario came up with such things but if this was going to help Alakazam, then he was happy for it.

Finally, it all came down to Mamoswine, Slowemperor, and Gogoat.
