CHAPTER 381 - Alex VS Theron 2.
Alex knew that statistically, he was weaker than Theron, and he realized that if he were to let it be, then he wouldn't even be able to test teleportation like he wanted to.
So, he decided to go all out and use his incubus bloodline, pumping all of his mana into it, making the wings appear before anything else, so as to get his speed elevated.
But with his incubus form fully activated, he could see different colors from people, it was their emotions, he could see the light on everyone changing as moments passed.
Ann, Alice, Luna, and Noctura had gray-colored mist around them, showing how worried they were, but it soon turned into confusion, and then realization, settling down at slight worry and desire to know more.
Everyone in the hall had different colors around them, but one person in particular had the most variety of colors surrounding her—Selina.
She had gray, dark blue, red, black, and silver colors intermixed, with red being the brightest.
Those colors are associated with many different emotions, but Alex could clearly tell what she was feeling.
'Is this the incubus vision's true power?'
Alex uttered inwardly as his gaze moved toward her, causing her body to freeze in its spot.
He knew that she was ready to step at any moment and she was worried about him as well, but he had no such thoughts that she loved him or something like that.
He knew very well that all of her worries were related to the condition she was facing right now—the problem within her body that made her emotions strange.
So, he just stared at her for a while, his gaze filled with warning and playfulness at the same time.
He knew that she was going to go against his order, but he didn't want that; he knew his capabilities pretty well, and he knew how much he could handle.
So he knew that he could defeat Theron if he wanted to; all he had to do was call out his shatter devourer, as it had been trembling for a while, wanting him to call it out by sensing his perilous situation.
The SD was still a child, with not much understanding; all it knew was to attack and defend, and right now, it wanted to attack, but Alex just calmed it down.
Alex's gaze only moved away from Selina when he saw her body jerk in alarm, moving a step back.
He could see the confusion that she got submerged in, the next second, but he moved his gaze away from her.
Not because he wanted to, but because the situation called for it.
"You think I will just stand here and watch you turn creepy?"
Theron, who now had a frown on his face, was right in front of Alex, with his fist going straight to the guy's gut.
He was feeling a bit uneasy by looking at the grin plastered on Alex's face, and more than that, he could feel Alex's power getting elevated; his legendary ranked stats were slowly entering the mythical rank.
Theron didn't want to let that happen, as right now, his motive had changed.
Instead of fighting for the older brother's position, he now wanted to just not lose.
But before his fist could even reach Alex...
*Snap*
*Whoop*
With a snap, Alex was gone from there, making his fist punch nothing but the air.
Theron, as if expecting that, hurriedly tried to sense the place Alex was going to teleport to, but the moment he did it, his body froze...
*Woosh*
He hurriedly jumped away, his eye snapping toward the spot he was standing in.
"Hehe, I won't attack you on the back Theron, I may be a demon, but I'm not a coward."
There stood, or more life floated, Alex, with his wings wide open and a wide grin plastered on his face—an expression that caused Theron to get annoyed for some reason—as he commented.
"Hah!"
But Theron just shot at him the next instant, his fist almost touching Alex, only to miss by an inch as Alex tilted his head a bit.
*Woosh*
Theron, however, didn't let Alex get a moment of respite as he punched again, just to miss.
*Pow*
Then again...
*Pah*
And again...
*Swoosh*
He kept doing it and Alex kept dodging it, albeit using his mana and disguise ability to cloud Theron's senses, but he did keep evading the lion emperor's punches.
"GAHHHHHHH!!!"
But doing that didn't do him any good as Theron's flames grew fiercer the next second, burning hot enough to turn Alex's purple skin a shade darker before a fist enveloped in fierce golden flames appeared in front of Alex's eyes.
*BAAMMM—!!!*
*Ssssssss*
The sound of flesh being burned, along with the sound of the punch getting connected, was heard, but no bone broke this time, causing Theron to frown.
*—BOOOMMM!*
Alex's body crashed on the ground just below, causing a large crater to form on the ground, but the momentary pause that Theron took, frowning at the fact that he didn't feel something breaking, was enough for Alex to sap his fingers.
*Snap*
The moment that snap was heard was the moment Theron realized that he shouldn't have paused, and he smashed his fist toward the ground, but it was already too late.
*Woop*
*BOOOOOOMMMM!*
A popping sound was heard, indicating that Alex had teleported away, causing Theron's fist to smash the cracked floor, almost shattering it. His eyes squinted, and his momentum changed, ready to shoot toward Alex, but just then, he heard Alex's voice.
"Will a guy, who wants to be the older brother not even give the supposed-to-be-younger brother enough time to get a nice power-up?"
He couldn't sense Alex, but he could hear his voice, causing him to frown.
"This is a battle, not a friendly spar; I'm fighting for honor…"
Theron growled, gritting his teeth as he replied to Alex's question and his gaze paused on a certain spot.
*Woosh*
With a speed fast enough for the demon generals to raise their brows as it was faster than an average mythical 3-ranker, Theron dashed toward a particular spot with his fist clenched.
"So, you should stop being a coward…"
His words continued, his lips parting, showing his razor-sharp canine teeth, and suddenly the color of the flames surrounding his fists changed into glaring red.
*CRACK—*
"AND FIGHT ME!!"
His tone rose high, and his fist, which was covered with bright red flames, shattered the torn space as if it were paper before completely shattering a part of space.
*—SHATTER*
The space shattered, but only a part of it, as if there was some empty space between the space and the next second...
*BOOM!*
Theron's fist made contact with something or someone as a sonic boom was heard, and the next instant, a figure was thrown out of the space, hurtling toward the wall of the training hall.
It was Alex, and he had jumped from the space dimension to the space compartment—the ability of the Grenefled family—so as to get a bit more time, but Theron's senses were a bit too sharp to let Alex keep doing it.
*Woosh*
Theron, however, didn't just stand in his spot like last time, he rushed forward, reaching Alex with a single step, ready to smash the guy to the ground, but just then...
*Swoosh*
Sharp spikes rose from the ground as if wanting to stop him, but Theron just frowned and waved his fist at them.
*Boom—Crack—Shatter*
The spike shattered, clattering on the ground and getting shot here and there, but as his focus was moved away from Alex, he heard a snap.
*Snap*
"GRRRR!!"
The moment he heard that snap, he could only growl in frustration.
"FACE ME LIKE A MAN!!"
He roared, causing the whole area to rumble. Continue your adventure with empire
That roar, however, caused Alice, Ann, Luna, and Noctura to want to clutch their ears in pain, but before they could even move their hands toward their ears, Azaroth waved his hand, coving them all in a space barrier, making the sound go off.
"W-What was that?"
Alice muttered, her gaze trembling as, although it was just for a second, she felt her soul tremble in fear.
"It was something similar to the dragon roar, and it causes fear to its enemy—only if they are weaker than the user, that is."
Azaroth replied to Alice's question without looking away from the fight, as he could feel the end nearing.
From what he knew of Alex, he knew that Alex would probably confront Theron face-to-face now, and he could already feel Alex's transformation was almost done as well.
So, he knew that it wouldn't be long before the fight ended, and he knew who the winner would be, but it depended on many factors.
Theron, on the other hand, unlike Azaroth, couldn't sense anything but frustration.
He thought that he could have a likable younger brother and the demon empire's friendship pretty easily, as he knew how powerful he was, but who would've thought that Alex would turn out so annoying to fight?
But just then...
"Like a man, you say?"
