Reborn in Konoha; I Think I’m Cultivating Immortality

Chapter 263: Chapter 263

Everyone was completely stunned by the scene before them.

Multicolored fireworks filled the sky, blooming brilliantly over all of Konoha, illuminating the entire village.

"So beautiful!"

Someone murmured in awe, captivated by this unprecedented spectacle.

"How romantic!!!"

Many women, from teenagers to older generations, were completely enthralled by the breathtaking display.

From those just beginning to experience the stirrings of affection to those who had shared decades of companionship, all were captivated.

It wasn't just the fireworks they admired; they were also overwhelmed by Hui's romantic gesture.

After all, which woman hasn't dreamed of a moment like this? Who wouldn't long for a man to declare his love for them to the entire world?

Hui's engagement spectacle was like a precise and sharp arrow that pierced the hearts of these women.

At this moment, Tsunade became the object of envy and admiration for every woman in Konoha.

Countless women, while filled with envy, also felt an ache in their hearts. Some shed quiet tears but still offered their blessings.

Of course, there were those who felt bitter or unwilling.

They thought to themselves: If only I had grown up alongside Hui…

But alas, life offered no "ifs."

As for the men present, they were filled with a mix of emotions: awe, admiration, and longing.

They too were captivated by the beauty of the display and secretly wished they could one day create such a grand romantic gesture for the women they loved.

"This technique must be added to the village's jutsu exchange list!" someone exclaimed, overwhelmed by the sight.

The entire plaza was boiling with excitement, the entire village of Konoha was in a frenzy of celebration.

More and more people joined in. Many of Tsunade and Hui's friends came to celebrate as well.

Kage, Uzumaki Mina, Konan…

Lightning, Might Duy, Uchiha Fugaku…

Many familiar faces appeared to offer their blessings.

Not everyone was celebrating, though. While the firework technique was simple and didn't require much chakra for a single use, sustaining it was a challenge even for experienced shinobi.

This meant those with substantial chakra reserves were recruited byi Hui to set off fireworks.

On the Hokage Rock, atop the Second Hokage's stone visage, Nawaki, after casting the firework jutsu yet again, began questioning his life choices.

"Damn it, why am I stuck using the firework jutsu all alone up here in the cold wind?!"

Looking down at the village illuminated by fireworks and hearing the sounds of the celebration below, Nawaki wished he could jump down and join the festivities.

But he couldn't. His task was to keep casting the firework jutsu.

"Heh, wasn't it some little brat who volunteered for this spot, thinking it was prime real estate?"

The Nine-Tails' voice sneered from within Nawaki.

Nawaki rolled his eyes in frustration.

"Shut up, stupid fox! No one will think you're mue if you don;t speak. Besides, the view here is great, and I'm having a wonderful time watching the fireworks!"

Nawaki retorted sharply, refusing to admit he'd made a mistake.

The Nine-Tails, as if expecting Nawaki's response, chuckled lazily.

"Seeing how tired you are from using chakra, I was considering giving you some, but now? Never mind."

Nawaki froze for a moment, then immediately cried out:

"Big brother Nine-Tails, please! I was wrong! I was wrong, okay? Just lend me some chakra—I'm running on empty!"

Hearing Nawaki's pleas, the Nine-Tails smirked, feeling rather pleased.

Though this brat was shameless, wasn't he still firmly under its control?

"Big brother Nine-Tails, no, no, I mean grandpa Nine-Tails! I beg you, lend me some chakra! Please, I need it desperately!"

Nawaki's pitiful cries continued, but inwardly he smirked slyly.

Hah! This stupid fox actually enjoys being begged. Too naïve!

The Nine-Tails, unaware of Nawaki's thoughts, relented with a haughty tone:

"Since you've begged so sincerely, I'll grant you some chakra."

The next moment, a surge of immense chakra flowed through Nawaki's body, making him feel invigorated.

"So much chakra! Perfect! Stupid fox, watch me now!"

Nawaki exclaimed gleefully, making the Nine-Tails' smug expression falter.

This brat's mood could turn on a dime!

"Super All-Sky Firework Technique!"

Using the Nine-Tails' chakra, Nawaki unleashed a massive firework jutsu. A huge glowing orb shot into the sky.

And then…

The entire sky lit up.

A colossal firework, spanning half the village, exploded above Hokage Rock.

"Wow!!!"

The crowd gasped in amazement, awestruck by the massive firework.

Even Hui and Tsunade smiled at the sight.

"That kid Nawaki isn't bad," Hui commented, impressed.

"That brat! Where did he get so much chakra?!"

Tsunade tensed, worried that Nawaki had overexerted himself.

Hui gently squeezed her hand.

"Don't worry. Don't forget the Nine-Tails is inside him. That scale of a jutsu must've been fueled by its chakra."

Hearing this, Tsunade sighed in relief, realizing she'd momentarily forgotten about the Nine-Tails.

"You know, Nawaki has done well. In just over two years, he's managed to establish this kind of rapport with the Nine-Tails."

Hui's voice carried approval.

Just then, another massive firework lit up the sky, rivaling Nawaki's earlier display.

Hui was momentarily stunned but then chuckled.

"That direction… It's Jiraiya. Who would've thought he had that much chakra left?"

As Hui expected, Jiraiya, exhausted and panting, slumped to the ground, muttering:

"That brat Nawaki has way too much chakra—it's unfair! And why didn't I think to make one huge firework all at once?"

After catching his breath, Jiraiya mumbled,

"This jutsu is amazing. I'll definitely have him use it someday. Hui can set off fireworks for me all night!"

The fireworks continued, launched by Hui's friends, family, and subordinates.

Kakashi, Orochimaru, Jiraiya, Nawaki, and even Hiruzen Sarutobi joined in, along with many from the Senju and Uzumaki clans, lighting up the skies over Konoha.

The night was filled with joy and celebration, leaving an unforgettable memory for everyone present.

For Hui and Tsunade, it was a night of transformation, a transformation of a promise and a milestone.

They had evolved.

From lovers to fiancés, from youth to maturity, their bond had deepened.

When the sun rose the next day, light streaming through the window, Hui awoke.

Looking at the beautiful woman in his arms, he felt warmth fill his heart.

Life is worth it.

With you, it's worth it.
