Chapter 152: Survivor Series and Another Leak
One of the best changes I made in the entertainment landscape, aside from creating the DCU, was nudging WWE into new territory. Wrestling was something I genuinely loved, but rewatching matches when I already knew the outcomes wasn't as fun. So, when I had the chance to talk with The Rock about it, I saw an opportunity to shake things up. Not directly, of course—the real power lay with Vince McMahon—but I could influence things in subtle ways.
The Rock didn't have the final say in WWE creative. I figured if I worked around his availability for Fast 5 filming, he wouldn't make it to WrestleMania 29, which in my old life had been all about his rematch against Cena. I expected a minor shift—maybe Cena facing someone else instead of The Rock—but the ripple effects were… surprising.
Without The Rock in the picture, WWE leaned fully into CM Punk vs. John Cena, teasing a clash of two titans: one the face of the company and the other its rebellious, unfiltered antihero. To my absolute delight, WWE played into the long-term storytelling.
Another surprise was The Rock having a match at SummerSlam against Punk, probably because he couldn't work WrestleMania 29. Punk retained his title against The Rock at SummerSlam, albeit through interference. It was messy, chaotic, and perfect. Now, Survivor Series was here, and the main event was going to be Punk vs. Cena.
"Alright, taking bets!" Matt announced, grinning ear to ear as he walked into the living room with a bowl of popcorn.
"Cena," Margot said confidently. She'd been rekindling her teenage love for pro wrestling lately by watching along with me.
"Same," John chimed in, stuffing a handful of chips into his mouth
"Definitely Cena," Joanna said, snuggling into a corner of the couch.
Lucia, visiting from college, raised her hand. "Cena. The other guy has been champion for too long."
I sat back, smirking. "Punk."
The room collectively turned to stare at me, disbelief written on their faces.
"Come on, man," Matt said. "Everything is pointing to Cena winning. Punk's held the title for over a year."
"Nah," I replied, shaking my head. "This stretches to WrestleMania. Punk's retaining. Trust me."
Soon it was time for the main event, and the promo package for the match began.

John leaned back on the couch, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "You know what? I'm changing my mind. I think Punk's got this."
Matt turned to look at him, then at me. "Damn, Daniel's right. Cena's losing tonight. It makes sense. WrestleMania is where they'll wrap this up."
Margot gasped dramatically, throwing popcorn at both of them. "Boo! That tattooed loser is not walking out with the title!"
Joanna smirked. "A very attractive tattooed loser."
Lucia raised her drink. "Amen."
The bell rang, and the match kicked off with an intense stare-down between Cena and Punk. The crowd in the arena was electric, divided in their support. Cena rushed Punk for a lockup, but Punk ducked, smirking as he taunted the 12-time champion.
"Classic Punk," Matt said.
"Come on, Cena!" Margot yelled, leaning forward. "Punch him in the face!"
The match built up slowly, showcasing Punk's technical skills against Cena's raw power. Punk countered an AA attempt early, rolling Cena into a quick pin for a two-count. Cena powered out and responded with a shoulder tackle, but Punk kipped up immediately, drawing cheers from the crowd.
"Man, they're going all out already," John said, munching on popcorn.
As the match progressed, Cena gained the upper hand, throwing Punk into the corner and following up with a devastating clothesline. Punk, ever the opportunist, slid out of the ring, buying himself time to recover.
The first major spot came when Cena hit an Attitude Adjustment on Punk through the announce table.
"Oh my God!" Lucia screamed, standing up.
Margot clapped enthusiastically. "Yes! That's it! It's over!"
"Yeah, right," I said sarcastically.
The match escalated as Punk rallied back, hitting Cena with a flurry of strikes and then, to everyone's shock, a Piledriver which was banned in the WWE…not fake banned but really banned.
"WHAT?!" John yelled, nearly spilling his drink. "Did Punk just hit a Piledriver?"
The crowd on TV exploded, chanting, "HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!"
Cena barely kicked out at two, his head visibly dazed as Punk dragged him up for a GTS. Cena countered, catching Punk mid-move and transitioning into an STF.
With the match nearing its climax, both men traded near falls. Punk hit another GTS, but Cena's foot landed on the ropes at the last second. Cena managed to land another AA, but Punk rolled out of the ring before he could cover.
"I think this is a better match than the one they had last year," I said, remembering the iconic match from Money in the Bank.
"Oh, it's definitely reaching that level," Matt replied.
As the match entered its final moments, Cena set Punk up for a super AA from the top rope. Just as he prepared to lift Punk, the lights in the arena flickered, drawing confused murmurs from the crowd.
"What the hell? No, no, not those guys again," Margot said.
Suddenly, three figures dressed in black tactical gear stormed the ring—Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns.
The Shield attacked Cena, dragging him off the top rope and pummeling him with a series of brutal strikes. The referee, who had been knocked out moments earlier, didn't see a thing. Punk watched from the corner, a smirk creeping across his face.
"Cheaters!" Margot screamed, throwing a pillow at the screen.
The Shield delivered a devastating Triple Powerbomb to Cena, leaving him motionless in the center of the ring. Punk staggered to his feet, clutching his ribs, and crawled over to Cena, hooking the leg as the referee regained consciousness.
One… Two… Three!
The crowd on TV was in a frenzy, half cheering, half booing as Punk's music hit. The Shield stood behind him, while Punk raised the WWE Championship high above his head.
"PUNK WINS!" I yelled, throwing my hands in the air.
As I was celebrating, I noticed a distinct lack of excitement from Matt, who sat there, shocked, looking at his phone.
"Danny, Danny!" Matt called out, his voice a mix of panic and urgency.
"What is it?" I asked.
Matt hesitated before blurting out, "Your script for Superman… it leaked!"
'Today just keeps getting better,' I thought happily.
A grin spread across my face as I leaned back into the couch. "Oh, finally!" I said.
Matt blinked in disbelief, as did John and the girls, all of them snapping their heads toward me in unison. "Finally?!" they echoed together.
"Yeah, we've been waiting for that for a month."
"Waiting for it?!" Matt exclaimed, his bewilderment only deepening. "You wanted your script to leak?"
"Why don't you read up on the so-called 'leak,'" I suggested, gesturing lazily toward his phone.
Matt looked back down at his screen, still clearly confused, and began scrolling through the details of the leak. John and the others grabbed their phones, searching for it as well.
Meanwhile, I casually pulled out my own phone, dialing Dave as I watched their reactions.

BIG Superman Movie Spoilers – Entire Script Leaked! (DCU is DOOMED)
Post by: TheDCInsider (Verified Leaker)
Alright, folks, strap in. I've got the full plot breakdown of the upcoming Superman movie written by none other than Daniel Adler. And let me tell you… it's BAD. Like, "What were they thinking?" bad. This isn't the Superman we know and love. DC fans, you might want to sit down for this one. Here's the supposed script for the first Superman film in the new DCU:
We start on Krypton, which is apparently destroyed by Brainiac! That's right—the destruction of Superman's home world isn't a natural event anymore. Brainiac is a massive, spider-like cyborg (???) who murders Jor-El and Lara in cold blood just before baby Kal-El's rocket is launched. He vows to hunt the child across the cosmos.
Why is Brainiac a spider? No idea. But apparently, he's some kind of "mechanical predator" that looks like it belongs in Starship Troopers. We jump to Clark Kent in Metropolis. Superman stops a random bank robbery in a very generic action scene (think "basic superhero movie 101").
There's an entire subplot about Clark considering telling Lois his secret because Lex Luthor might expose him first.Brainiac finally arrives on Earth and teams up with Lex Luthor. But wait, it gets worse: the two somehow merge into a single entity called "Lexiac." That's right—Lex Luthor and Brainiac become a giant cyborg monster with a shared consciousness. Think Frankenstein meets The Borg, but not in a good way.
To make things even more ridiculous, Lexiac creates Doomsday to fight Superman. The iconic battle from the comics is crammed into this film, ending with Superman's "death."
Superman's body is taken to the Fortress of Solitude, where he's resurrected by some weird, mystical force called "K." There's no explanation for what "K" is until later, but apparently it's the life essence of his dead Kryptonian parents (???). Superman comes back to life without his powers and has to walk back to Metropolis like some kind of cosmic hobo.
Meanwhile, Lexiac (because this abomination is still around) decides to blow up Earth with a bunch of nukes (what the fuck). His reason? To replicate what he did to Krypton. And oh yeah, he spends most of his screen time creepily flirting with Lois Lane, trying to "win her over" while she grieves Superman.
Superman regains his powers, thanks to "K," which literally merges into his body (???) and gives him a sudden power boost. He rushes back to Metropolis just in time to stop the nukes with exactly one second left on the clock.
He defeats Lexiac by destroying the Brainiac half, leaving Lex in jail or something equally anticlimactic.
The film ends with Superman holding Lois in his arms as she reveals that she's pregnant with his child. Yes, we're doing the "Superman baby" storyline. No setup—just, "Hey, I'm pregnant. Roll credits."

John muttered, "This doesn't make any sense…"
I smirked, raising a finger to my lips in a shushing gesture as my phone buzzed in my hand. Dave picked up almost immediately.
"It's batch number four," I said, keeping my voice calm but laced with satisfaction.
Dave let out a dry chuckle. "Yeah, I saw."
Ever since the news of Alexandra Daddario being cast as Wonder Woman and the first Wonder Woman script leaked, we'd been on high alert. The mysterious leaker had completely vanished after that, embarrassed he got the info on the script wrong. It wasn't until recently that they resurfaced, this time claiming the leaked Wonder Woman script was for an animated project—an obvious attempt to salvage their reputation.
Victor had been livid as he was working on the animated wonder woman movie. He even accused me, which I ignored because the solution was already in motion. The leaker was clearly someone who thrived on online validation, desperate for attention, and we decided to use that to trap them.
Working with Dave, Victor, and a few trusted individuals, we came up with a plan: fake leaks. I created four different script treatments for Superman, each one slightly different, and each batch of potential suspects received one version.
"It's probably that guy on Becky's team," Dave said on the other end of the line, his tone sharp and no-nonsense.
"Yep," I agreed. "Someone close to the CFO would feel invincible—like they couldn't possibly get caught."
"Don't worry about it. I'll handle it."
"Thanks, Dave." I ended the call and pocketed my phone.
Matt, who had been scrolling through the comments on his own device, let out a loud laugh. "Oh my God, this fake script is hilarious. Dude, some people are tearing you apart in the comments."
I grinned. "Let them talk. There's no such thing as bad publicity in this circumstance."
