Chapter 6: Oracion Seis 2
Sonic's POV
Ichiya: "Is she the mage sent by Cait Shelter?"
Lucy: "But she's so young!"
We were all shocked by the little mage standing in front of us. Sure, I was young too, but seeing her made everyone think she was too innocent to fight. She was accompanied by a flying white cat named Carla, who was similar to Happy. Despite that, we began the meeting. Our mission was to prevent Oración Seis from getting their hands on "Ciel," a form of lost magic that could be dangerous if misused.
Once Jura finished explaining the plan, Ichiya suggested we use the Cristina, a floating ship belonging to Blue Pegasus shaped like a giant metallic pegasus. Natsu didn't even have time to listen to the travel details—he was so excited that he ran off as if he already knew where the enemies were. We all started chasing after him.
As we reached the edge of a hill, we saw the Cristina heading toward us. Suddenly, an explosion shook the Cristina, damaging it and forcing it to crash.
Hibiki: "What happened?!"
It seemed they hadn't anticipated this. The Cristina crashed right in front of us, followed by an explosion that sent us stumbling back. In that moment, six figures emerged from the smoke—it was Oración Seis!
Everyone got into fighting positions as the Oración Seis stood in a line, watching us. The man in the center began to speak. He was tall, with facial markings and a staff featuring a skull holding a green orb in its teeth.
"So, you're the guild alliance sent to stop us," he said.
He tapped his staff on the ground, and a sudden wave knocked us back even further. As we got up, we all charged at them. Natsu attacked first, using a roar on a guy who was sleeping on a floating carpet, but somehow the attack was deflected. Meanwhile, Erza was battling a man in a white jacket who had a purple snake with wings. Even I was shocked to see that. But I didn't have much time to process it, as I blocked a sudden attack from behind.
"You're faster than the others," said the man who had kicked me. He had yellow hair, glasses, and looked like he was wearing a racing suit. Even though I blocked his kick, the impact sent me flying four meters away.
As he rushed toward me, he threw a series of attacks that I managed to dodge—they were moves most wouldn't even see coming. I used a Spin Dash to attack him, but he suddenly vanished. It was as if he teleported, but he had actually moved so fast that he was able to strike me from behind before I could block. I got back up, boosted toward him, and unleashed a series of rapid strikes to catch him off guard. At first, he took the hits, but then he grabbed my hand and slammed me to the ground.
"You're too slow to really understand what's going on," he said.
That's when I looked around and noticed that Natsu and the others couldn't even get back on their feet. My opponent released me and jumped back to rejoin his group, but what really set me off was seeing Wendy, Happy, and Carla in the hands of the Oración Seis leader. I was about to charge at them, but seeing Erza injured stopped me in my tracks—her wound looked serious. Within seconds, the Oración Seis disappeared into the smoke, taking our three allies with them.
Time Skip
We regrouped in part of the forest after suffering a crushing defeat. Erza had been bitten by Cobra's snake—the snake tamer who turned out to be a venomous Dragon Slayer. The poison was spreading through her right arm, and if it continued, it could kill her. She could barely stand and even asked us to cut off her arm. She grabbed Lucy's belt, which made Lucy drop her underwear. At that moment, the three men from Blue Pegasus and I got nosebleeds from the sight, only to be kicked away by a flustered Lucy calling us perverts.
Erza tied the belt around her arm and ordered Gray to cut it off using her sword.
Gray: "Are you sure about this, Erza?"
Erza (tightening the belt with her teeth): "Don't argue—do it!"
Just as Gray brought the sword down, I intercepted it with a Spin Dash that nullified the strike. Sharp blades don't affect me when I'm in ball form. The sword flew out of Gray's hand, and everyone was shocked that I stood against Erza's decision.
Me: "Wait a minute! If we find Wendy, we can heal Erza—don't you think?"
Leon: "That's right—she's a healer!"
Lucy: "But do you think we can bring her back in time to save Erza?"
Me: "We won't know until we try!"
At that moment, I realized Wendy held a significant place in my life. Fragments of my memory started returning. I understood that if I wanted to know who I was before, I had to find her.
An external voice interrupted my thoughts. Looking at the others, I noticed their stunned expressions aimed at me. Something had changed.
Me: "Uh, do I have something on my face?"
I noticed my hand—it was thinner than usual, and I was wearing clothes: black pants, a white shirt, and a blue vest. I felt my face, and it was human, with pale skin. That's when I realized: this was my original form.
