Chapter 745: Battle Of Brawn And Brains [Part 2]

Island Number 3…

Shasha and the E4 Mafia led by Alcapone were naturally the main targets of the members of the Monarch Clans and the Prestigious Families on this island.

To their surprise, they failed to gain an advantage with their numbers and had even fallen into a disadvantage.

Chat Lotte, who was leading the allied forces, wasn't able to target Shasha because Alcapone and the others were like Big Bouncers, preventing them from going inside a club.

The E4 Mafia was like a wall that they could neither bypass nor break—fighting against them proved to be extremely difficult.

Two of Char's teammates had even died under Shasha's hands thanks to Alcapone and the others handing her the kills on a silver platter.

Clearly, they wanted her to win, so they didn't mind letting her take the lead in the rankings.

In the beginning, Char and her team had the advantage. After all, they had seven people, while Shana's team only had five.

But it didn't take long for the young lady of the Lotte Family to realize that their numerical advantage was nothing in the face of their enemies.

In the end, they were forced to retreat as they planned their next move.

Shasha, who was leading Alcapone and his men, didn't pursue Char and simply remained in their location.

She was currently at the top of the Rankings, with two points under her name. Discover stories at empire

Alcapone, who was looking at his map, laughed after seeing that their enemies had run a good distance away from them.

"Miss Shasha, should we pursue them?" Alcapone asked. "I'm sure if we work together, we can easily eliminate them all."

Shasha pondered a bit before shaking her head.

"There's no rush," Shasha replied. "Our enemies already know that they're at a disadvantage, so they'll probably resort to other means in order to win.

"For the time being, we should rest and treat our injuries so we can quickly recover our peak performance. After that, we will go and hunt them down and finish this battle once and for all."

Her suggestion gained the approval of everyone. Although they looked fine on the surface, they were still dealing with the Scions of the powerful Clans and Families of Pangea.

They were not easy to defeat, so it was only natural that some of them had sustained injuries during the battle.

Meanwhile, in Island Number 2…

Vincent and Colbert clashed at the center of the Forest, unleashing their special abilities with the intention of eliminating each other as fast as possible.

Not far from them, Mikhail and Cristopher were fighting against other Wanderers.

Both of them were each fighting two Wanderers at the same time.

The only difference was that Mikhail was fighting on his own, while Cristopher had the assistance of his Troll Champion, Brutus, who was a Rank 6 Sovereign.

Trees were decimated as Brutus swung his Great Sword, slicing everything in his path.

On the other hand, Cristopher was holding a metallic staff in his hands, calmly fighting against a Wanderer who was wielding two sabers as if they were as light as a feather.

Mikhail swung his Great Axe in an offensive and defensive manner, making his opponents frustrated at how they couldn't get near him.

An hour ago, Cristopher and Colbert had eliminated two people from Vincent's team who had failed to regroup with their compatriots.

Even so, there were two others who were simply watching the battle, looking for an opportunity to go for the kill.

They were not from the Monarch Clans and Prestigious Families.

The two of them were the special-seeded candidates who had won other fighting competitions in the past.

Since they also belonged to Factions that aspired to become part of the Prestigious Families, they wanted to make their own name in the tournament.

Because of this, they were simply letting the other groups kill each other before they delivered the Coup de Grace, snatching the victory under their belt.

Of course, Mikhail and Vincent's team were aware of their existence, but they didn't care.

If the two fishermen decided to throw the net to catch some fish, these fishes would fight back and eliminate them first.

"The result will not change," Colbert said coldly as he continued to trade blows with Vincent.

Vincent didn't reply and simply smirked as he deflected Colbert's spear.

He had to admit that he had greatly underestimated his opponent during the tournament a few days ago.

The truth was that Vincent only fought with seventy percent of his true strength during the tournament.

The bracelet in his hand sealed the other thirty percent, which he only planned to use in the Semi-Finals.

However, he didn't get the chance to do that because he lost against Colbert in the early stages of the tournament.

But now that he was given a second chance to make a comeback, he was only waiting for the right opportunity to show his trump card.

A scream of pain reverberated in the surroundings as the Wanderer fighting against Brutus was sent flying by the Troll Champion's backhand blow.

Although he didn't die instantly, he broke several ribs and smashed against a tree. A second later, he collapsed on the ground, groaning in pain and no longer able to offer any resistance if someone were to end his life.

'A chance!' One of the two Wanderers observing the battle from the side immediately saw an opportunity to secure an easy point.

He was very confident in his speed, so before his comrade could even react, he had already dashed in the direction of the Fallen Wanderer in order to eliminate him and secure a point in the tournament.

From the corner of his eyes, Cristopher saw the Wanderer, but he only sneered.

Brutus wouldn't be Brutus if he allowed others to take his prey so easily.

Letting out a roar filled with fury, the Troll Champion slammed his Great Sword on the ground, resulting in a gust of wind that blew outward.

This also sent dirt and rock flying in every direction, creating a temporary smokescreen.

However, this didn't stop the Wanderer from his charge.

As soon as his target came within striking distance, the Wanderer swung his sword for the kill.

It was also then that he sensed something approaching him from the side at incredible speed.

Because of the smokescreen Brutus had created, the Wanderer failed to notice the Troll Champion summon a bone club in his hand, which was then flung at the opportunistic bastard who dared to target the Troll's prey.

Everything happened so fast, and by the time the Wanderer noticed it, he was left with no option but to brace himself from the Bone Club smashing against his body. Soon, the sound of his groans resounded as he was sent flying several meters away.

Brutus was a Troll, and his blows were not something ordinary Wanderers could withstand.

And as a Troll Champion, his strength was matchless among the monsters of the same rank, and very few creatures had the ability to defeat him in close combat battles.

Cristopher glanced at his first companion with satisfaction before focusing on the opponent in front of him.

Aside from Brutus, Cristopher still had other Avatars under his command.

However, summoning his Troll Champion was already overkill in his eyes because none of the Wanderers present could really contend against him.

Perhaps, only Roland and Mikhail had a chance of defeating Brutus, but even then, that chance was extremely small.

Currently, the two of them were not strong enough to defeat Cristopher's First Avatar, which made him one of the Dark Horses in the tournament.
