We had only barely started, but we were already off to a bad start. Hosting was proving to be more difficult than we imagined. Akemi was convinced this would be an instant success. But what he hadn't accounted for was that all of us were cosplaying guys… Plus it didn't help that our cosplays weren't too exciting.
The host club simply did Ouran High School Host Club. With Laito as Tamaki, Tero as Kyoya, the twins and Hikaru and Kaoru, and Mika a Mori. Yacchan was Honey, and seemed to have been forced into his outfit. Most of our members couldn't even keep their clothes on despite this dress being voluntary. Or they would talk mostly about sex.
Akemi specifically seemed to not understand the difference between this club and ours. Itome, on the other hand, seemed a natural host, though he pretty much did nothing but sit there. Shikatani was super rude and let his inner cleaning maniac show through. Tamura was also pretty rude, but some of them really liked his type. Yuri could not keep even those gloves on. Toono looked really rigid and uncomfortable, and Kashima was another natural at this.
Compared to the Host Club, even our numbers meant nothing. I guess we too should have binged Ouran High School Host club in preparation.
But the entrance doors swung open, it seemed we weren't the only ones competing against the Host Club.
