The Only Son Amongst The Daughters Of Eros

Chapter 128: The Back Up Plan

Aeric had accepted to play the Beast Battle against Melina for two reasons;

One, he really needed the XP and the Beast Tokens, and second, it was about time he taught the Moonlight sisters a lesson.

But of course, Aeric was not stupid enough to believe that it would be fair and square. It was Aryanne of Moonlight he was dealing with, and with that venomous girl nothing was ever as it seemed or as it was supposed to be.

So, minutes after accepting the challenge, telling Celestia to wait for him and sauntering to the stables, he was stopped by Faeryn, one of the Daughters of Elysium.

"Mhm?" Aeric said, lifting a brow when he heard his name, hands in his pockets.

"Can I speak to you?" she said, approaching him gently. Her hair swayed from side to side with the wind, her perfectly shaped, round tits pushing forward from her green dress.

She had arms that were toned and trained, but a very gentle, though matured and beautiful face.

Aeric looked at her with curiosity. 'Talk to me? We've barely even crossed paths, she and I. What could she want? Is it possible that she somehow remembers the events of the Dungeon that day?'

He comported himself and answered. "Yeah, you can talk to me. What is this about?"

Faeryn stopped, standing face to face with Aeric now, looking deep into his red eyes like she was studying him from the inside.

When she was done, she spoke to him in her usually soft tone. "It is about my sister, Phoebe."

"Oh." Aeric raised his brows. "What about her?"

Faeryn looked on the ground, hesitating, then her face returned to him. "I want to say thank you," she declared.

'Eh? Thank you? For what?'

Faeryn continued. "Today was the first day since her admission and Declaration that I've seen her this... happy. She doesn't really participate in anything and feels left out in most things."

"I watched the Mock Dungeon training. You... you found a way to make her feel included, you made her feel like part of a team rather than someone to order about. She had a smile on her face the whole time and she still does now."

Faeryn took steps closer. "You must understand, my sister's happiness is important to me."

Aeric appeared surprised, not knowing at all what to say.

"So thank you, Aeric of Starlight. I will be indebted to you for this singular thing and you can come to collect this debt at any time. I will not refuse it, and no one will challenge it."

Her face grew stern and serious. "Thank you once again."

Aeric scratched the back of his neck nervously. "Hey, you're welcome but don't you think you're being a little over dramatic? I understand Phoebe's important to you, but you don't have to owe me for doing that. I was just being a decent human being. Doing what was best for the team."

Faeryn remained inexpressive, but she breathed out audibly. "For the way you've been treated in this school, you reserve all the right to treat others wrongly as well. But you choose not to."

She looked away, as though feeling guilty. "Perhaps I have my own part in it as I saw it all and chose not to interfere on your behalf. This is why I'm indebted to you now, Aeric. One good deed deserves another."

Well, Aeric couldn't argue any further. He saw that she was really serious about this debt and there was nothing he could say that would change her mind.

Besides, this debt could be really useful in the future. Far or near.

"Alright then, Faeryn," Aeric shrugged. "I accept. And you're welcome. I look forward to collecting this debt."

Faeryn stood still. She gazed at him for a moment longer, then turned around and walked away, her fine ass swinging both ways as she dispersed.

'Good talk,' Aeric's thoughts mused. Faeryn had just single handedly out herself amongst Aeric's most targeted Daughters. That simple conversation really picked his interest.

He checked her Player Profile.

'Woah!' he exclaimed in his mind. 'She is one of the most powerful Daughters. Her accomplishments as well. Platinum Rank! That's very impressive.'

"What did my sister tell you?"

Snapping out of his thoughts, Aeric suddenly turned around, surprised to see Phoebe standing behind him with her hands placed in her back and her face pushed forward.

"Huh— oh, nothing at all. She was just congratulating me on the Dungeon win and using physical Divinity."

Phoebe tilted her head suspiciously. "Is that it? She didn't say anything about me? She didn't tell you anything that I said about you, did she?"

Aeric narrowed his brows. "No, she didn't. Why would she—?" His eyes darted around her face. "What did you say to her about me?"

Phoebe smiled nervously, placing a finger on her cheek. "Oh, nothing! Besides, I came here to tell you that I'm really thankful for today."

Aeric frowned. 'These Elysium princesses. They're so nice and courteous that in contrast to the other princesses, it's starting to feel weird. Mother Aphra must be a very well mannered woman.'

"Your directions really helped me master my [Soul Buff] Skill and my [Soul Nerf] as well. I can do it pretty easily now." She brimmed at him.

"You're welcome, Phoebe but I gotta ask." He narrowed his eyes on her. "Why did you [Soul Buff] me instead of Nyx?"

"Oh." Her lips made an 'o' before they stretched to a smile. "It's because your Divine Core was the brightest, silly. Didn't you know, Master Aeric? You have the most brightest Divine Core I've ever seen. Even brighter than my mother's. I know because I've tried to [Soul Nerf] her sometimes. He-he!"

Aeric stared at her. 'She's been so casual about it. She's not acting like it's a big deal, and this could mean a lot of things. She might not tell anyone because she would think it's not a big deal, or she might tell someone because of the very same reason. I must think of a way quickly to keep her in check.'

"Hey, Phoebe. The Mock Dungeon training is over, so you don't really have to call me Master anymore. You know right?" he asked her.

Not that he minded, but the other Elysium princesses and even Mother Aphra would probably not like it.

"I like to call you Master," she replied. "A Master is a person who teaches and you've taught me a lot today. So thank you," she smiled, eyes closing. "Master Aeric."

Aeric chuckled handsomely. "A teacher eh? Alright then, I'll accept this name. But now your Master needs your help right now."

He looked at her mischievously. "Do you think you're up for it!"

Excitement began to brim within Phoebe's body.

And so, on the opposite side of the arena, where the onlookers behind Aeric sat, Phoebe was amongst them.

Aeric had suspected that Aryanne would do something like this, and so he instructed Phoebe to stay alert and once she noticed something suspicious, she was to act immediately by Soul Buffing Aeric.

Her eyes were closed, and her mind was inside the Soul State, arms stretched as she used the [Soul Buff] to fight against her sister's own [Soul Nerf], slowly sucking in Divinity back into Sylver.

"What are you doing! Squeeze harder!" Aryanne ordered Cecilia with frustration in her voice.

"I'm trying!" Cecilia whined. But Phoebe's Soul Mending powers were stronger, and so she was triumphant.

Sylver was on his feet.
