"His name is Bertolt. He's our friend. Please don't hurt him," Eren said, his voice trembling with emotion as he pleaded with Eriri.

Worried for Eren's safety, Mikasa had rushed up the wall without hesitation. Armin, suppressing his fear of Titans, had followed her, determined to be there for his two childhood friends.

It was this Titan—this monster—that had broken through the gates of Wall Maria, allowing countless Titans to invade their home. It was this Titan that had caused the death of his mother, who had been devoured alive.

The memories of the life he had shared with Bertolt, Reiner, and Annie over the past five years only served to deepen his disgust.
