Chapter 286: Three Tasks and Five-Star Occupation Cards

______

[Ding Dong!]

[Mission obtained: The End of the BIGMOM Pirates!]

[Mission obtained: Pirates Must Die!]

[Mission obtained: ONEPIECE!]

Suddenly, a series of prompts echoed in Aoki's mind, accompanied by a translucent screen that materialized before him.

Aoki paused, stunned for a moment, before glancing through each mission.

[The End of the BIGMOM Pirates]

The BIGMOM Pirates have already set themselves on the path to destruction.

Mission requirements:

1. Kill Charlotte Linlin.

2. Eliminate all Sweets Generals.

3. Kill 50 members of the BIGMOM Pirates.

4. Destroy Whole Cake Island.

Mission rewards:

10,000 experience points

5 free skill points

Special rice cooker

After reading the first mission's description, Aoki's eyebrows raised slightly.

The rewards were undeniably generous—10,000 experience points and 5 free skill points—but it was the final item that caught his attention.

Special rice cooker?

He stared at the words for a long moment, baffled. Special? What exactly is special about it?

Shrugging off his confusion, Aoki moved to the second mission.

[Pirates Must Die]

Pirates are the parasites of the world. Destroy them.

Mission requirements:

Kill 20 pirates with bounties exceeding 100 million berries.

Mission rewards:

5,000 experience points

This was clearly a routine mission, with the difficulty lying primarily in locating the targets.

The good news? It could overlap with the first mission. If the BIGMOM Pirates gathered in one place, he could knock out most of this objective simultaneously.

Aoki's attention shifted to the third task.

[ONEPIECE]

Find ONEPIECE and end the Great Pirate Era.

Mission requirements:

Locate ONEPIECE.

Mission rewards:

Five-star career card

"Hmm?"

Aoki frowned thoughtfully. This task was unusual. It had been issued by the Spirit of Nature, a system that usually revolved around growth, combat, and destruction, like the "Infinite Dragon Beast" system's tendencies toward chaos and annihilation.

The Pirate World had two ultimate missions:

1. Destroy the Celestial Dragons, a task triggered by the Infinite Dragon Beast.

2. Find ONEPIECE, the core of the Great Pirate Era.

With both now active, everything seemed to be falling into place.

Aoki's eyes lingered on the reward for the ONEPIECE mission.

The reward for ending the World Government is a five-star career fusion card. The reward for finding ONEPIECE is a five-star career card. 'Does this mean I'll unlock a five-star career after using it?'

He couldn't help but feel intrigued. Of all possible rewards, those tied to career progression held the greatest value.

After a long moment of contemplation, Aoki let out a quiet sigh, his gaze shifting back to the present.

These missions, especially the first and third, were of the highest priority. The BIGMOM Pirates' downfall was already inevitable; all that was left was for him to give them a fitting funeral.

---

"We're here!" Shanks called out, snapping Aoki out of his thoughts.

Looking up, Aoki saw a coastline gradually coming into view. As they approached, it expanded into a stretch of vast land.

"Is this Windmill Village?" Aoki asked.

"That's right!" Shanks grinned widely. "The drinks at the local bar are excellent. You've got to try them, Aoki!"

Aoki wasn't interested in the drinks. His thoughts were focused on something—or rather, someone—else.

- Should I be able to see Luffy?

It didn't take long for his question to be answered.

As soon as the Red Force docked, a small boy ran toward the shore, bouncing with excitement and waving wildly.

"Shanks! Shanks! Hehehe, you're back!"

"Luffy!" Shanks called out with a wide smile.

Aoki's gaze shifted to the boy.

He was an ordinary child dressed in a simple T-shirt and shorts, with a small scar on his face that gave him a somewhat mischievous look.

Monkey D. Luffy—the boy who would one day become the Pirate King.

At this moment, however, his iconic straw hat still rested on Shanks' head.

"Shanks!!" Luffy shouted, his voice filled with uncontainable excitement.

Aoki's figure flashed, and in an instant, he appeared in front of Luffy.

"Aoki!"

Shanks' expression froze in surprise.

Luffy, however, was unfazed. He looked up at Aoki with wide, curious eyes.

"Huh? I don't think I've seen you before. Are you a new member of Shanks' crew?"

"No."

Aoki reached out, picked Luffy up, and casually tossed him into the air. Luffy's body bounced on the ground twice like a rubber ball.

As expected.

Even now, Luffy had already eaten the Mythical Zoan Human-Human Fruit, Model: Nika, disguised as the Rubber Fruit.

This boy was destined to become the first person in 800 years to awaken the Nika form, transforming into Joyboy.

Aoki's gaze lingered on Luffy for a moment. He had once considered the Nika form for himself, but after discovering the Nature Spirit form, he had given up on it.

The Nika form might be powerful, but smiling all the time? 'That doesn't suit my style.'

Luffy, oblivious to Aoki's thoughts, remained carefree. He grabbed his own face and stretched it wide until his mouth was big enough to hold a basketball.

"Hehehe! I'm a rubber man!"

Aoki set Luffy down.

"I can see that you're full of ideas. Why not come with me and join the navy?"

"Navy? Are you a marine?"

Luffy took a couple of steps back, his face turning serious. He glanced at his fist, clenching it slightly, then stuck out his tongue and made a silly face.

"I don't want to be a marine! I want to be a pirate! I want to be the Pirate King!"

Aoki studied Luffy for a moment.

Shanks hasn't lost his arm yet, and the Straw Hat Covenant hasn't been made. Luffy's obsession with becoming a pirate isn't fully ingrained. Maybe there's still a chance to change his mind.

But he dismissed the thought quickly. He didn't have the time, energy, or interest to try.

So what if he's the Son of Destiny?

Aoki had seen more than one Son of Destiny before—Tanjiro, Tatsumi, and even Akame could be considered among them.

He turned to Shanks.

"Thanks for your hospitality over the past couple of days. I just remembered something urgent, so I'll take my leave here."

Shanks looked startled.

Before he could respond, Aoki's body soared into the sky and quickly disappeared into the horizon.

"Wow!" Luffy exclaimed, his jaw dropping to the ground. "He flew away! He actually flew away!"

Shanks watched Aoki's retreating figure, his brows furrowing slightly.

"Did he come here just for Luffy?"

To him, Luffy still seemed like an ordinary child. Devil Fruit users were rare in the East Blue, but in the New World, they were hardly uncommon.

Beckman, standing nearby, spoke calmly. "He didn't seem to have any bad intentions."

Shanks didn't respond immediately.

A strong man with a bounty of 5 billion who dared to kill Celestial Dragons… Shanks thought. Any attention he gives Luffy might bring enormous trouble to the boy in the future.

"Shanks! Shanks! Why were you hanging out with the navy?" Luffy demanded, his dissatisfaction evident.

Beckman chuckled and explained, "Luffy, he's not a marine. On the contrary, he's one of the strongest and most terrifying pirates on the seas."

Luffy's eyes widened. "Stronger than you guys?"

Beckman smiled faintly. "Yes, at the moment, he's stronger than us."

A bounty of 5 billion berries wasn't an easy feat.

So far, only three individuals in the world had achieved such a bounty: Whitebeard, the Pirate King Gol D. Roger, and Aoki.

Luffy tilted his head, curiosity brimming. "Then why did he say he was a marine?"

Beckman took a drag from his cigarette before exhaling slowly.

"Who knows? Maybe he was just joking."
