A Saiyan's Journey

Chapter 173: The Token of the Galactic Patrol

[Respected Zuke, please select the mission world you wish to enter: 1. Dragon Ball (Time not adjusted); 2. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (Time flow rate 0.5x); 3. TYPE-MOON (Main mission in generation)]

[Respected Zuke, your remaining play count for today is 1.]

After adjusting the time flow rate in the JoJo world, Zuke prepared to enter the Dragon Ball world.

In the JoJo world, the entire process of hijacking a taxi and sending Koichi Hirose to the airport took just over half an hour. Thus, Zuke still had more than seven hours left to spend in the Dragon Ball world.

He wondered how far the Galactic Patrol headquarters was from the Realm of the Gods and hoped it wouldn't take too much of his time.

In the next moment, Zuke felt a weight press down on him. When he opened his eyes, he was already on King Kai's planet.

King Kai, sensing Zuke's arrival, hurriedly ran out of his small house on the planet, beads of nervous sweat glistening on his head.

"Ah, Lord Zuke! My apologies, my apologies! I was just on a call with the other Kais and didn't realize you had arrived."

Seeing King Kai's anxious demeanor, Zuke understood that the Kai still hadn't realized his identity was fake.

After all, given King Kai's cautious personality, he was unlikely to actively contact the God of Destruction or angels. Zuke estimated he could maintain this false identity for decades until Beerus awakened.

"So, Lord Zuke, are you here to practice the Kaioken technique? Or perhaps the Spirit Bomb?"

King Kai wiped the sweat from his brow. When faced with Zuke, he was visibly tense, even adopting a more reserved tone in his speech.

On one hand, this was due to Zuke's assumed identity as the "Agent of the God of Destruction," a title that naturally intimidated King Kai, who was well aware of the power and temperamental nature of Gods of Destruction.

On the other hand, King Kai sensed a violent aura emanating from Zuke, one that warned him not to provoke this visitor lightly.

This aura reminded King Kai of a certain notorious race—the Saiyans, infamous throughout the universe for their violent tendencies.

However, Zuke had no tail, leaving King Kai unsure of his Saiyan origins.

But even if Zuke were a Saiyan, what could King Kai say? While Saiyans had a bad reputation, if Zuke was associated with the God of Destruction, his Saiyan heritage would be irrelevant.

In fact, the Saiyan's violent nature somewhat mirrored the destructive tendencies of many Gods of Destruction. Some Gods of Destruction even behaved as recklessly as the Saiyans, making them comparable in a way.

Although a few Gods of Destruction were dutiful and conscientious, Universe 7's Beerus certainly wasn't one of them.

"No rush. First, I'd like to ask if you know the location of the Galactic Patrol headquarters?" Zuke shook his head. Although he definitely intended to learn Kaioken and the Spirit Bomb, he wanted to first make use of the magical energy within him.

After all, the technique used by Moro to absorb planetary energy and rapidly boost his combat power was intriguing to Zuke.

"The Galactic Patrol? You're planning to visit their headquarters?"

King Kai was momentarily stunned. As the North Kai of the galaxy, he had an intimate understanding of the universe and, naturally, knew the location of the Galactic Patrol headquarters.

"I know where it is. In fact, if you want to go, I have a token of the Galactic Patrol that you can use for instant positioning."

"A token of the Galactic Patrol?" Zuke asked curiously.

"Yes, many individuals in the Realm of the Gods are connected with the Galactic Patrol. Sometimes, even the Supreme Kai will lend a hand to capture criminals."

Nodding, King Kai hurried back into his house and soon returned with an insignia in hand. The badge bore the Galactic Patrol logo—a slanted "Z" with a black dot.

"This contains the Galactic King's energy signature. If you have Instant Transmission or similar abilities, you can directly use the 'energy' to pinpoint the location of their headquarters."

Oh? What a coincidence. Zuke happened to possess the ability to use Instant Transmission.

Normally, Instant Transmission couldn't cover extreme distances unless it had a specific "energy" to act as a coordinate. If this badge truly allowed Zuke to locate the headquarters of the Galactic Patrol, it would save him a lot of trouble.

As for King Kai's remark about the Supreme Kai occasionally assisting the Galactic Patrol, it likely referred to the incident 10 million years ago when the Grand Supreme Kai helped the Patrol capture Moro.

That was undoubtedly the strongest criminal ever detained by the Galactic Patrol. Without the Grand Supreme Kai's sacrifice to seal Moro's magic, the Galactic Patrol's prison wouldn't have been able to hold him.

"If I use this token to request a meeting with a prisoner in the Galactic Patrol prison, will they allow it?" Zuke toyed with the token in his hand, asking curiously.

He had been considering how to convince the Galactic Patrol to let him meet Moro, but he hadn't come up with a good plan.

Of course, he could always resort to brute force and storm the prison. Most members of the Galactic Patrol weren't strong, often weaker than an average adult Saiyan.

Moreover, Zuke wasn't just any Saiyan—his power far exceeded that of King Vegeta at his peak.

But the Galactic Patrol had an outlier—Merus.

While Merus operated as the Galactic Patrol's No. 1 officer, his true identity was that of an apprentice angel.

Merus was the only individual in the Galactic Patrol whom Zuke considered a potential threat.

Although the timeline in the original work suggested decades before Merus joined, Zuke always prepared for the worst-case scenario.

If the badge could grant him legitimate access to meet Moro, he wouldn't have to worry about Merus interfering.

"That… should be fine, as the Galactic Patrol often requires divine assistance. This badge is exclusively for use by gods," King Kai explained after a moment's thought.

"By carrying this badge, they will treat you as they would treat a Kai or Supreme Kai. Simply visiting a prisoner shouldn't be an issue."

"Even if the prisoner is Moro?" Zuke pressed.

"M-Moro!?" King Kai was taken aback.

He had, of course, heard of Moro's infamy. A ruthless villain, Moro had ravaged the universe 10 million years ago, absorbing the life energy of countless planets and turning them into barren wastelands.

At that time, the collective efforts of the Supreme Kais couldn't subdue him. Only the Grand Supreme Kai, by sacrificing immense divine power to seal Moro's magic, managed to imprison him in the Galactic Patrol's jail.

That battle left the Grand Supreme Kai so weakened that he couldn't resist when Majin Buu appeared later, ultimately leading to his demise.

In a way, Moro was directly responsible for the death of the Grand Supreme Kai.

Hearing that Zuke intended to meet Moro, King Kai hesitated. After a moment, he responded cautiously:

"That… I can't guarantee. Moro is the most dangerous prisoner in the Galactic Patrol's custody. It will depend on their judgment."
