A Saiyan's Journey

Chapter 174: Moro, the Planet Devourer

Using the Galactic Patrol token handed to him by the North Kai, Zuke spent some time and successfully located a very distant "ki."

The "ki" was not strong—far weaker than many warriors Zuke had encountered. It was likely the leader of the Galactic Patrol, the "Galactic King."

Although the "Galactic King" was said to be the ruler of the galaxy, he barely had any presence in the original story, resembling more of a mascot.

He was akin to the "King" who occasionally appeared in the early Dragon Ball series—mostly a figurehead with limited practical use.

However, unlike Earth's king in the Dragon Ball world, the Galactic King's Galactic Patrol had produced truly powerful characters, such as the trainee angel Merus.

That said, the Galactic King himself probably wasn't even aware that such a deity was hiding within his patrol.

Once he confirmed the location of the "ki," Zuke used Instant Transmission to teleport directly to the Galactic Patrol headquarters.

With a flash, Zuke disappeared from the North Kai's planet and reappeared in the headquarters' main hall.

"Who goes there!?"

His sudden arrival immediately attracted the attention of several Galactic Patrol officers in the hall. They hurried over, aiming their weapons at him.

These guns were far more powerful than ordinary weapons, but they posed no threat to Zuke.

Zuke, remaining calm, simply revealed the Galactic Patrol token in his hand.

As expected, upon seeing the token, the officers hesitated before exchanging glances and lowering their weapons.

One officer stepped forward to apologize:

"Apologies, sir. Your sudden appearance made us think we were under attack… May I ask which deity you are?"

The Galactic Patrol token was reserved for deities, so the officers naturally assumed Zuke was one.

Lacking the strength or insight to detect divine power, they were unaware that Zuke was just a human, not a deity.

"I was introduced by the North Kai. I have a matter that requires your cooperation," Zuke said calmly, putting away the token. His demeanor was like that of a superior conducting an inspection.

To these patrol officers, possessing a deity's token was no different from being an actual superior—after all, even the Galactic King wouldn't dare offend a Kai.

"I need to meet with a prisoner. I hope you can arrange for us to have a private conversation."

"Oh? That shouldn't be a problem. May I know which prisoner you wish to see? We'll record it and escort you there," one officer responded, not questioning Zuke's motives.

After all, the prisoners were restrained by special shackles that neutralized their power, so allowing a meeting posed no real danger.

However, when Zuke uttered the name of the prisoner, the officers' expressions drastically changed.

"Moro."

"What!? You want to see Moro!?"

As expected, the name Moro struck terror into the hearts of the Galactic Patrol officers. Their variously shaped faces were filled with fear.

Even though Moro had lost his powers, his reputation as a destroyer of countless planets still haunted them.

Delivering meals to Moro was already nerve-wracking; now, someone wanted a private meeting with him?

"This… Moro is a special case. We'll need to consult Officer Merus. Please wait a moment," one officer said nervously before hurrying off to contact Merus.

"It seems I'll have to meet Merus first," Zuke thought, his expression turning serious. Merus, after all, was a top-tier fighter in Dragon Ball Super, being from the Angel race.

While Merus couldn't reveal his angelic identity or use his angelic powers, he was still incredibly formidable even with just Galactic Patrol equipment.

Even late-stage Goku and Vegeta could be caught off guard by him.

Shortly after, Merus arrived.

As depicted in the manga, he wore the Galactic Patrol uniform and exuded a righteous demeanor.

"Greetings, Mr. Zuke. I'm Merus," he said with a polite smile, hiding the fact that he belonged to a race capable of destroying universes.

"I've been briefed on the situation. Are you certain you wish to meet with Moro?"

Zuke and Merus locked eyes, the latter's gaze straightforward and devoid of ulterior motives. He simply wanted confirmation of Zuke's intent.

Without hesitation, Zuke replied, "Yes, I need a private meeting with Moro."

Hearing this, Merus smiled.

"Very well. I can sense that you're quite different from your fellow Saiyans. If it's you, I believe there shouldn't be any issue."

Zuke felt a chill—Merus had already noticed that he was a Saiyan.

As an angel, even without using angelic abilities, Merus's perception far surpassed that of the Galactic Patrol officers.

With Merus's approval, the other officers didn't object further. They trusted Merus implicitly, despite his relatively short tenure. His strength and achievements had already earned their respect.

Under the escort of one officer, Zuke entered a special prison. The space was barren, furnished with only a few basic items.

After ushering Zuke in, the officer nervously bowed and quickly left, as if fleeing from something terrifying.

And indeed, something terrifying was present.

Zuke looked ahead at the figure sitting before him—a humanoid with the head of a goat, draped in tattered robes. The being's face was deeply wrinkled, its aged appearance exuding a demonic aura.

This was Zuke's target: Moro, the Planet Devourer.
