Dragon Ball:Vados is my Wife

Chapter 97: Chapter 96: Deal with Beerus

The next day.

Beerus, who had been knocked unconscious by Vados the previous day, finally regained consciousness.

"Oh, Lord Beerus, you're awake," Whis said, noticing the God of Destruction stirring.

"Whis...?" Beerus groggily rubbed his head, trying to remember what happened just before he blacked out.

In the next moment, Beerus shot upright in alarm, his eyes wide with disbelief. "Whis, the one from yesterday... was that Vados, the Angel from the sixth universe?"

Whis didn't speak at first but simply nodded with a smile.

"Damn it!" Beerus cursed, jumping up from the bed in panic. "Why is Vados here? What is going on?"

Beerus had been baffled yesterday when a seemingly powerless woman knocked him out with just a swift chop. Only now did he realize the truth — she was Angel Vados.

Whis calmly explained, "Master Beerus, Vados is Mr. Kahn's wife. They've been married for years."

"What... What?!" Beerus froze in shock.

"Can Angels marry humans? So, Vados is no longer the Angel of the Sixth Universe?" Beerus was stunned and confused.

Whis remained calm, offering more details. "It's a long story, but all you need to know is that Vados is Mr. Kahn's wife."

Beerus, still dazed, scoffed, "Why didn't you tell me about something so important?!"

Beerus couldn't help but imagine what would have happened had he acted rashly yesterday. If Vados had decided to complain to the Grand Priest, he would have been in serious trouble. The mere thought of it made him shudder.

Whis, who had been quietly observing, added, "And there's more. At the summit of the 1,999,999th Gods of Destruction, Lord Kahn took your place and successfully had the Great Gods of Destruction's staff recognize him as its master."

Beerus blinked, slowly processing the weight of this information. "In other words... Kahn will soon become the first Great God of Destruction?"

The realization hit him like a lightning strike. The very person he had provoked the day before was destined to become his superior.

"Whis, did you just say... Kahn... is going to be the Great God of Destruction?!" Beerus stammered, his voice trembling in disbelief. "You're telling me that he succeeded on his first try, while I failed after over 350,000 attempts? What in the world is happening?"

"Yes," Whis said flatly. "In about ten years, Lord Kahn will take over as the Great God of Destruction. Perhaps it's time for you to consider apologizing to him now?"

Beerus's face turned pale. He was shaking with fear at the thought of what Kahn's future power would mean for him.

"Whis... Why didn't you tell me about this sooner? I'm going to settle this with you later!" Beerus muttered, his voice still shaking.

And just like that, the anxious God of Destruction disappeared from the room.

---

In the ship's dining room, Kahn and his group were enjoying their meal.

Suddenly, a dark figure darted through the door like lightning, kneeling before Kahn. Beerus, his voice trembling, spoke up. "Kahn... Master Kahn! I am a little god who had eyes but no wisdom, and didn't know of your future as the Great God of Destruction. Yesterday, I offended you, and I beg your forgiveness!"

Everyone stared at Beerus in confusion. Just yesterday, this same God of Destruction had been brashly demanding Kahn's downfall. Now, he was kneeling and apologizing?

Kahn glanced at Beerus with mild amusement. "I'm a forgiving person, so I can overlook your rudeness yesterday. But…"

Kahn's voice grew cold as he continued, "However, you ordered Frieza to destroy Planet Vegeta, and that led to the deaths of my parents..."

Beerus immediately bowed his head and apologized, his voice desperate. "Master Kahn, I know I'm in the wrong! I didn't know it would lead to your parents' deaths. It was never my intention. I just wanted revenge on King Vegeta, who deceived me. I never thought it would end like this. Please, if you wish to punish me, I accept it!"

The room fell silent. The tension was palpable as everyone waited for Kahn's response.

After a long pause, Kahn spoke. "I understand you didn't intend to cause harm to my parents. I won't hold it against you. But you must take responsibility for your actions."

Kahn then added, "As compensation, I'd like you to train my younger brother, Son Goku. Help him grow stronger, and we'll call it even."

Beerus, who had been on the verge of panic, let out a sigh of relief. "Thank you, Lord Kahn! Thank you for your generosity!"

Beerus, already feeling a huge weight lifted off his shoulders, bowed deeply in gratitude. Teaching Son Goku to improve his skills was a small price to pay compared to the alternative.

"Alright, that's enough," Kahn said, waving his hand dismissively. "Let's eat. Don't disturb us any longer."

And just like that, the drama in the dining room came to an end, with Beerus humbly backing away.
