Chapter 66: Chapter 66
As Hiashi Hyuga launched his attack, Uzumaki Chito stood still, smiling calmly.
"I thought years of comfort had stolen your courage," Chito said softly.
With a single finger, he intercepted Hiashi's Gentle Fist.
The chakra invasion that was supposed to disrupt his internal network had no effect. Hiashi felt as though he was striking an immovable mountain.
"After all these years, your strength remains fragile," Chito said, almost bored.
"Enough."
With a slight flick of his finger, Chito sent Hiashi hurtling backward.
The concentrated force rippled through Hiashi's body, spreading from his fist to every bone. The chakra invading Hiashi's body mimicked the Hyuga clan's techniques, but magnified to a terrifying degree.
"This… this is—" Hiashi's thoughts raced. The technique was unmistakably Gentle Fist, perfected to an unparalleled level.
But before he could respond, his body betrayed him. His bones shattered under the pressure, leaving him defenseless.
"Do you feel it?" Chito asked, his tone casual as he rubbed his wrist. "This is the pinnacle of the Hyuga clan's Gentle Fist. A forgotten art in your family's current generation."
Hiashi could only stare at Chito in disbelief and resentment, his body limp from the overwhelming force.
"Don't look at me like that," Chito said flatly. "If you were stronger, you could do the same to me. Strength is the foundation of a village. Compromise only invites others to exploit you."
As he spoke, Chito's pale green chakra seeped into Hiashi's body, repairing the damage he had inflicted. Bones mended, muscles restored—it was as if the attack had never happened.
"This time, I'll let it slide. You're free to leave," Chito said, his voice dismissive as he turned to go.
Hiashi, though healed, was still shaken. He hesitated for only a moment before reaching for Hanabi, ready to leave Shin-Konoha territory as quickly as possible.
But Chito's next words stopped him cold.
"Ah, I almost forgot. Since you dared to come here, you'll need to leave something behind as compensation."
Chito waved his hand, and a gust of wind struck Hiashi's acupoints, paralyzing him in place.
"Leave the girl," Chito said simply, taking Hanabi from Hiashi's arms.
"Lord Chito—" Hiashi tried to intercede, but Chito turned his back, tearing open space to leave with Hanabi in tow.
Hiashi could only watch, helpless, as the white-robed figure disappeared. The paralysis faded moments later, and Hiashi stumbled out of Shin-Konoha's range, his mind reeling.
"Return to Konoha immediately!" Hiashi shouted, unleashing his chakra in frustration. The humiliation burned deeply, and Chito's methods—crushing him and then healing him—sent shivers down his spine.
The Hyuga clan's group didn't even bother packing their camp. They fled back to Konoha, disheveled and defeated.
In Shin-Konoha, Chito returned with Hanabi cradled in his arms.
"Lord Chito, why is this child here?" Tsunade asked, frowning at the unexpected situation.
"She's part of the compensation from the Hyuga family," Chito replied with a faint smile. "Besides, she wants to find Neji. Let her stay for now."
He paused, then added, "It's time for her to attend school. Enroll her in the first class of the Shin-Konoha Ninja Academy."
Tsunade sighed but nodded. "Alright. I'll take care of it."
"Don't overthink it, Tsunade," Chito said, sensing her unease. He lightly touched her hand, his gaze calm yet firm.
"I wasn't overthinking anything, Lord Chito," Tsunade replied quickly. "Although, we still don't have enough teachers. Even with the five we've recruited, it's not enough."
"Then recruit more. Hire them, poach them, or take them by force if you must."
Tsunade frowned. "After this incident, Konoha will be on guard."
"Who said you can only target Konoha?" Chito said. "There are other villages. Expand your scope."
Tsunade nodded reluctantly. "Understood. I'll look into the next target."
"Good. Now, take the girl," Chito said, handing the still-sleeping Hanabi to Tsunade.
Back in Konoha, the Hyuga clan returned in disgrace. Their hurried and disheveled state caused quite a stir.
Hiashi wasted no time submitting his report to the Fifth Hokage.
"What?! Kakashi, Iruka, and Anko defected? And Teuchi and Ayame as well?" Jiraiya exclaimed, staring at the report in disbelief.
