Naruto: The Medical Shinobi

Hiruzen registered both of the seals, the [Passive Barrier] and the [ReflexGuard: Advanced Barrier]. He stamped the certificate and handed it over to his assistant for delivery.

Then he suddenly changed his mind and said, "On second thoughts, I will go myself to see him."

Hiruzen left with his Hokage Guard Platoon, which included three Jonins: Raido Namiashi, Genma Shiranui, and Iwashi Tatami, on their way to the Hamura residence.

Someplace else, one individual was brooding. Danzo was frustrated about the situation with Hamura and his fuinjutsu seals, as he was unable to gain insight into the new seals. He was hoping to get insight into these new seals, but Hiruzen did not give an inch when he suggested taking it by force.

Danzo paused in his walk and uttered, "Fuu."

A ninja flinched at the mention of his name and said, "Your orders, Lord Danzo "

"What has your team found out about Dan Hamura and the boy?" Danzo asked.

"You asked us to be discreet the last time, so not much. One interesting thing we found out is that the boy took a total makeover in the first few months." Fuu replied.

"Makeover?" Danzo asked.

"Yes, his hair colour has changed from white to partial red. At first, I thought he was colouring his hair, but I did not see him or his grandfather visiting any hair salon. We did not follow near his house as Hokage's ANBU has been stationed there." Fuu replied.

Danzo thought for a moment and then said, "Use sensory ninjas who are experts at disguise and infiltration and try to find more. Even if ANBU are watching over them, I want to know their every move, who they meet, and where they go."

"Yes, Lord Danzo, "with that, Fuu flickered away into the shadows.

"Red hairs," Danzo thought. "Don't tell me…"

Danzo gave an evil smile and said to himself, "So that's how it is. That boy's father is an Uzumaki survivor. And most likely he or someone related to him is feeding that bastard Hamura new fuinjutsu seals. First that bastard Senju, and now this Uzumaki... Tsuki... you and your daughter... always creating trouble for yourself."

"Hiruzen, you thought I wouldn't realise and make the connection, but I made that connection with that name alone." Danzo spoke as he walked into the darkness.

Hiruzen arrived near the outpost, where the ANBU he has tasked with the security of Ryu has been stationed to assess the headaches they have been having.

The ANBU codenamed Boar also arrived and landed on a tree nearby and greeted the envoy. Hiruzen looked for a spot for a better view at Hamura's residence and flickered.

Hiruzen appeared at a high enough place and looked at Hamura's residence. His envoy also tried to see what Hiruzen was trying to find, but suddenly all of the people looking at Ryu's home started having blurry vision and headaches.

"Did you feel that too?" Hiruzen asked his guard platoon. 

Genma spoke, "Yes, I don't know why, but my head hurts, and my eyes feel starved when I focus in that direction. It feels like genjutsu, but at the same time not. There is no one in the vicinity to perform a jutsu also. It's as if the house itself is warding us off."

Hiruzen thought, "I don't sense any disturbance in my chakra, so it's probably not genjutsu. It's probably a fuinjutsu, but I cannot figure out how it is working. But one thing is for sure: it's designed to give prying eyes a severe headache and nausea. One cannot look for too long in that direction without feeling its effects. A clever, albeit unorthodox, security measure."

Shifting his attention to the ANBU, Hiruzen advised, "Your primary task is to safeguard him, not to surveil him directly. Avoid direct gazes at the house to prevent any adverse effects. You can use a mirror in emergencies, but it could potentially compromise your location. I won't suggest it, so do it if you have to, for his well-being only." 

The ANBU member simply said, "Understood," to Hiruzen's advice.

Hiruzen flickered along with his guard and appeared at the front gate of Hamura's residence.

"All of you stay nearby; I will talk with him alone inside." Hiruzen said, and all his guards flickered and hid themselves around the perimeter.

Before Hiruzen could knock, Dan opened his doors. Hiruzne thought, "I didn't even knock. Dan is not a sensor. Ryu? Well, most Uzumaki are known to be sensors. So it's probably Ryu, but I did not sense anyone scanning me. He must be a really good sensor. a natural."

"Hello Dan, I came to give you the certificates and talk to you. Is Ryu home? Hiruzen said.

"Ohh. Ryu is not home at the moment," Dan replied.

Hiruzen froze for a moment when he heard that. He thought, "Not at home. Then how did Dan sense me coming? I didn't sense triggering any detection ward."

Hiruzen asked, "May I come in then?"

Dan, "Oh yes, please come in."

Hiruzen said, "I must say your home has completely different vibes now compared to last time I was here."

Hiruzen smiled and added, "The vibes are too much for some to handle."

Dan said, "Maybe. They should not take too much vibes then, hahaha."

Hiruzen thought, "Just how many new seals has the boy developed? I am actively looking for any seal formation, but I could not sense any seals or formations around the house that could detect my presence or give me headaches. Even the Hokage building is not protected so subtly."

Hiruzen asked, "What do you call these vibes?" 

Dan responded, "Call it a migraine."

Hiruzen thought, "So fitting. Even if he is talking about it so openly with me but has not presented it to the council, he, or rather the boy, does not want to share this one with me yet."

Hiruzen said, "So here is the certificate and the money for registering those two seals with the Fuinjutsu council."

Hiruzen handed Dan a scroll containing the registration money and certificates. Dan took it and said, "Thank you, Hiruzen, for personally delivering it."

Hiruzen smiled and replied, "I came personally so that I may negotiate the price for the seal. I plan to give the seal to his Fuinjutsu units in the ANBU as well as all senior captains and other important individuals from Ninja Clans currently in the ANBU."

He then asked, "Have you decided on the price yet for these two seals?"

Dan replied, "The current Rank-C barrier seal with similar endurance comes at a price of 5000 RYO. That seal only works when there are four casters similar to this one, but the chakra efficiency is better. Considering all this, I think 6,500 RYO per seal is enough to compensate for the efficiency and complexity rise, right?"

Hiruzen said, "No arguments there. This seal has added new features into its working but, at the same time, has introduced a new drawback. But still, it's a good barrier. 10 points creativity from me."

Dan said, "Creativity is a powerful weapon in the hands of Fuinjutsu Grandmaster."

Hiruzen thought, "Is he comparing Ryu's talent to a Grandmaster? Maybe in a few years."

Hiruzen said, "It's a versatile weapon in the hands of anyone, not just a shield. Hideto Hyuga had understood the advantages of the ReflexGuard seal in the hands of any Hyuga. If you want, you can sell the exclusive rights of this Seal to Hyuga, and they will be willing to pay a premium price for it."

Dan continued, "You are right. its perfect seal for 360-degree vision holders. ReflexGuard seal is a bit difficult to rate. It's not very powerful, only for blocking C-rank jutsus, but it's multi-directional, autonomous when deployed, and only takes one person to cast. It will be a perfect shield for a retreat when surrounded by enemies or attacking the enemy from within. What is the price for a life saved when surrounded by enemies?"

Hiruzen, with conviction, stated, "He is correct; this seal will prove invaluable when surrounded. I cannot put a price on the lives of my ninjas, especially the elite among them."

Hiruzen spoke, "Earlier you said you would give me a discount, right?"

Dan said, "You decide the justified market price. I will give you a discount of 20% on every order."

Hiruzen pretended to think hard and said, "I believe 12000 RYO per seal is justified for such a versatile seal. I will purchase 100 seals from you. Once the ANBU has familiarised themselves with this seal and developed strategies around it, I will place additional orders."

Dan, "That sounds about right."

Hiruzen said, "It's a deal then."

Hiruzen was delighted with the transaction, securing a unique defensive seal at a discounted rate.

Hiruzen realised the importance of acknowledging young Ryu's contributions and decided to reward him as a gesture of appreciation.

He enquired, "You have made significant contributions to the village. Is there anything you desire in return for the seal?"

FYI:

Tsuki is Ryu's real grandmother and sister of Dan Hamura. I don't think anyone connected the dots. I left a few clues about it; I guess I have to tell now and not confuse readers anymore.

Tsuki Hamura and Danzo Shimura were arranged for marriage, but Tsuki eloped with Ryu Senju and was thus banished from the Hamura clan. Ryu Hamura, the MC of this story, is the grandson of Tsuki and Ryu Senju. For the future abilities I have planned for the MC, I needed someone of both Hamura, Uzumaki, and Senju lineages.
